Anybody here who sent the documents to Canadian embassy in Ankara (Turkey) ? The file of my parents has been transferred in December from Canada to Ankara, and I wonder how long it would take to get the medical applications ?

Thnaks !

Hello All

I have sponsored my Parent from lvo - ND. Earlier last year in May we received a letter stating that I was approved as a sponsor.
Then on 26 NOv my parent and dependent received email for additional docs and PPR and Police Clarence. They sent this in mid January. My question is that during the last few days with e-cas down... I checked today and e-cas seems to be working but in the Sponsorship heading it shows "IN-PROGRESS" from "DECISION MADE" and under the Permanent Residence field it still says "APPLICANT RECEIVED". Should I be worried??... Please answer.. Thank you in advance

Hi Suin, Did you also got any other request after getting acknowledgement letter?

We received acknowledgement letter back in 2010. We have not received anything after that.

Hi gdhami!

When ecas stopped working our process was Decision Made for both Sponsorship and PR. When it started working again, Sponsorship changed to Application Received, yet that same day we got a phone call to get our stamped passports (I live fairly close to my VO). So I think it's nothing to worry about, it's just a glitch in the system, it's still not 100%.

And we bought our tickets, everyone! I'll be landing saturday, Feb 23 :) I'll let you guys know how it went (specially because I'm bringing my cat with me and I haven't seen many with the same experience here, so I'll make sure to share for everyone in the future).

hi suin. Cic recived our app.on sep 2010.and we also recived only acknowleadgement letter.i wil glad if u keep posted me because we both in same ship. Thanks

Until they say you have failed medicals i would not assume that. Go for an angiography and based on the results you will have a better idea if your file is heading towards approval or rejection.

Does your father have any cardiovascular medical conditions ?

Check the timeline from this forum. quite a few members are at the same stage as you. Current speculations range from 1-6 months but its all speculations.

unless you have reasons to believe that angiograph would be positive, i would not worry.

Hi
QUESTION RE SPONSORSHIP OBLIGATIONS: Does anybody know the extent of sponsorship obligations after the parents landed with regard to medical expenses in BRITISH COLUMBIA
I know that vision care, phyisotherapy, etc. need to be covered by the sponsors.
What is the situation, however, if a parent needs to receive extended care in a care facility? Or, what happens if a parent gets ill and requires for example drugs worth $1,000 per month? Does BC MSP cover those costs or are the sponsors required to pay?
Any experience or knowledge you could share would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Gaggi, a question for you. My ecas was not working till y'day. Today (Feb 18, 2013)I checked it and it is working again. The difference I noticed is that before it used to show Canadian address and status - IN PROCESS, but now it doesn't show address, it just says IN PROCESS and when i click link it shows what it used to show before - started processing application on xx-xx-xxxx, medical results have been rec'd.
So what to interpret from this? Should we expect Passports with visas issued? (we submitted passports in NOV 2012 after medicals).
Please reply, thanks
