folks my sponsorship application just got approved and the file got transferred to new delhi (LVO)....

any baseline ideas on how much time it will take to medicals?

also how will the medical request be received via email or snail mail (mail delivery at my parents address in india is very unreliable)!

Hi Tditguy,

Did they send you an aproval letter or an e-mail?

Thanks you everyone and my best wishes are with you all.

Lattim - I noticed that on my e-cas starting Jan 09 (home address changes to Toronto, Ontario, Canada) and in my case passports were mailed on Jan 08. So, your passprts have already been mailed by Seattle. If you live in Bramption, give 2 weeks for mailing time from the time home address on e-cas got changed...

Thanks Raj ji , got it today , visa stamp date is January 15,2013

Hope that everyone else will hear good news throughout the year .

RajMalhotra ji , as u know I got COPR today , the accompanied letter says you have option to call toll
Free number to make an appointment at the nearest citizenship and immigration office for landing ,
So what you think it is better than flagpoling or not , just asking if anyone has an Idea

Buddy

I sent them "use of rep" form which they acknowledged, yet they sent to my parents incorrect email , so my whole idea to be on the safe side of being rep was useless as they were late in correcting that email as well as sending to it, besides me being rep

I would ask to check mothers email and/or call for GCMS notes

Ask your PP to contact HMB/RMO to find out if an IME# exists for your file. They get response quickly.

We got him to fill the regular Medical Section A with UCI and FIlE #, Doc showed me pre-filled IME form but Delhi only sends Medical Section A - and thats how most users overseas got it done else it will take another few months to get Delhi to send overseas form. He said he couldn't look up IME

Speaking of Health - got some questions
My folks got their meds done for TRV in June, and last week This doc showed me
Dad - consistent scarring on focal point on lung xray ( but still doc checked A in the form, ie., Nothing Serious ) - I forgot to ask but he kinda said its nothing big but depends on how RMO sees it
Mom - Slightly enlarged heart as she has High BP and takes BP pills since many years

So, folks how much should I be concerned, my father is a more fit than me ( shameless but true statement ) , but was a chain smoker 35 years ago

What can I expect, I kept hearing inactive TB, Sputum test etc

Now, will they compare with TRV meds? any opinion

User828, my mom had an exactly same thing, I.e., a scar on her lung. It had no implications whatsoever.

tx for the clarification, we have done 3-4 meds for folks since last 5-6 years for Canada extension, latest one being 6 months ago and never had any issues ( actually doctor never told us but the doctors secretary said that this the remarks, I was pretty shocked as we never knew abt these things )

I was like, have enough on the plate and now this - the main thing I am worried is that, my folks are here and we will mail the passports to India so if they ask for more meds, we dot have Passport to take tests here so I went to xray and blood work ppl and asked them if they will accept copy of pp in the future, they said yes

Also, folks from India who got meds done here - this is the form we got filled out
