Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum. I saw some really helpful info on this forum and hoping to get some guidance on my case. I have applied immigration application fro my mom and my brother as dependent in July 2009. I was requested for some additional doc's early this year which I had submitted in May, 2012.

The status showing on ECAS is application received (twice with the same date) but further activity since then. Please advise what would be next steps and how long will it take. Your help and guidance is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am also in the same situation, waiting for sponsorship approval.
My eCAS shows "appl. received" in both lines since last week.

Don't know when CPC-M will finally approve applications, the wait is getting frustrating. Call centre won't help unless full 55 months have passed.
By then they will increase that processing time to more than 55 so they don't have to answer to anyone

cpcm and cpc-sydney both getting ridiculous in processing times for ALL their lines of business.

I think it is normal. Your status will likely change, after medicals have been assessed by CIC Medical Examiners.

if before 22 jan your status are not update to medical then i think some more test is needed what i read from other member maximum 2 month time. But i pray for u that it will update to medical recevied soon

Medical Received status means that CIC was able to match the medical reports sent by the doctor with your application at the visa office. It does not necessarily mean that medicals have been cleared. One indication that medicals have been cleared is that when the status changes from "Medical Received" to "In Process".

We have received your medical results. We will contact you only if additional tests are needed.

But I would still pray that none of the applicants would need to undergo re-tests.

i want to add one thing more that nobody received additional medical test after status changed to medical received until know either file in lvo or ottawa .

gaggidhillon in my case e-cas still shows decision made on June 5,2012 i received medicals in july and then again request for some additional medical tests in sept which is done again on 8 oct,2012 but nothing is updated on e-cas.... when my e-cas gonna be updated if anybdy have an idea ....

you should order caips notes to see where your file currently stand it will give updated status
