Does you ecas show " In Process" and " Medicals received"? If yes, then you will get the visa before they expire. Don't worry.

Did you even do the medicals to extend the stay? What if the re-medicals are done within one year?

Our medicals expired on Jan 21, 2014 and we got re-medical request on March 6th. Depends on case by case and CIC will send you re-medicals for sure.

Received Re-assessment of medicals for my mom since her medicals expired on Jan 21, 2014. They are asking only Chest XRAY report and have attached a Re-assessment form for XRay. They are not asking for complete examinations. Has anyone gone through the same letter? Please share experience. Thanks

This is ridiculous, what are they going to do about medical expiry? Why do they put expiry dates on our files then? Are files getting processed normally within one year of passport request or one year of file transfer to ND?

Contacted the MP regarding my parent's file and got a reply today that the file is within the processing time in New Delhi and this is how the visa office there works. This is insane i told them to keep the passport for 8 months and do nothing.

I know its quite frustrating and the wait is like killing everyone. I just keep praying that after the strike there should be bulk issuance of all our visa's.
