The certified copies of passport should be your passports (as the sponsor). Do you not have this in your possession?

You could send a fax to New Delhi mentioning when you had done the medicals and when the Dr's office would send it. I do not think it would affect your case as long as ND gets the reports. It's a good thing that the called otherwise you would not have known that the reports were still lying with the Dr.

Two friend of mine sent the passports to Seattle and received them back one on Friday the other one today. I sent my mom's two weeks ago too. Go to any post office they know, just show them the letter with instructions for mailing. Good luck

Thank you very much for your kind information, Alba!!! Best wishes and hope you get yours back asap :D

We submitted my parents medical 7 months after we received the medical forms ....they were travelling and we could not do it within the given 60 days. It did not effect our timeline and they got thier visa. All you need to watch out for is the medical expiry date - 1 yrformt he date medical was done. As long as LVO gets medicals 2-3 months prior to expiry date, you should be OK

Hello All,

Balle Balle!!! Finally a Good News!!! I have got a PP request from Ottawa via email...They have requested my parents to submit their passports to Local Passport office...
Can someone please tell how long it takes for LVO to stamp the passports and return them?

Thanks

Congrats bhuv2004 - If your LVO is New Delhi then 7 days if PP is submitted to VFS or 30 days if PP is submitted directly to High Commission

You can get it certified from Notary public in India. But it is more simple here in Canada. IF you go to city office/city hall with your original passports and photocopies(In our city there is common office of Ontario services) and ask them that you need to certify the True copies, they do it over there without charging you anything and you can send it through registered post to your Mom which will talk only about seven days to reach there.

Go to any lawyer's office, they charge between $20 and $50 (depends) per signature.

I am also from Kitchener. It was in city Hall before and recently they moved it to Duke building in the Duke street. But if you go to city hall reception, they can also give you the address. But anyways,Duke street is just parallel to the King street. The address is:
32 Duke Street,Kitchener.
You go to Service Ontario office and they will certify it for you without any charges.

I read the letter which you had posted regarding passport submission can be done later if outside India. What did you do in this situation as i am in a similar situation , mom is in Canada with me and passport and other docs request is from NDVO. My letter clearly states to submit all docs at once. I have emailed NDVO couple of times since 3 weeks and no response.
