Hi pimigration when we sent documents to missisauga i selected type A cuz my brother was only 17 but i sent all supported college certificates etc at the very end of all other forms with a note," if you have any concerns about my brother's education i m sending you his school and college certificates cuz he is studying continuesly"
Pimigration i know we dont have to keep our brothers in school since they were under 22 when we applied but you never know.this is what i will do again when ND LVO ask me for medical and documents. CIC is very unpredictable..... I would suggest to do the same like select type A this time and send them documents+ certificates.

Hi kandel, the form IM008 that we need to fill is for PR application n I think we need to fill the recent info....because when we sponsorserd one of my sis was under 22 n therefore I checked type A for her but since she is over 22 now, I hav picked type B now.....because to me I think this application is different from sponsorship one.....I filled the forms by reading instruction guide......it clearly says " dependants is 22 years old and is not married" for type A.....soo if dependants is not under 22 at present then we should pick type B.....However, m not sure.....I m almost done with all da forms but now m confuse.....advise accordingly

Hi Sonu
Your sister is still Dependent A as her agae was locked at the time of application and is still locked.

I have a feeling that CIC will issue most of the 25,000 visas for 2013 towards the end of 2013, and we shouldn't be expecting visas in the first half of 2013. This way they make sure that the parents come to Canada as late as possible so that the Canadian government can save hundreds of thousands of dollars in healtcare costs on these 25,000 parents. This way they still meet their goal of issuing 25,000 parent visas for 2013 since it doesn't matter in which time of the year the visa is issued. What do you guys think?

wow u have raised a goood point.. probably that's the reason they are working very slow, because they are not in a mood to issue visa's before the end of next year.. :-\.. I just hope time proves me wrong, but this might be the case.

Hi guys,

do you know if a sponsor can leave Canada to work overseas AFTER his parents land and get PR cards? I know sponsors must live in Canada when applied to sponsor but do you know where i can read about residency requirements afterwards?

This if for my co-worker who also sponsors his parents and wants to go to work in the USA after his parents get PR (they already got PPT requests).

Thanks!

Sponsor can leave Canada after 1 min of landing parents & never come back to Canada, their PR cards are still 101% safe.

hope that helps..

Hi jattgoing canada i have a question for you
your profile says you are 20 years old right now.....if this is right then i m sure you didn't have to think twice before filling IMM0008 cuz you were under 22 in 2007 and you are under 22 in 2012 as well. is this right?

This is from IMM0008 guideline

From the list, select the type of dependent child:

Type A The child is under the age of 22 and is single (not married and not in a common-law relationship).

Type B The child has been continuously enrolled in and in attendance as a full‑time student at a post-secondary institution accredited by the relevant government authority and has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent either: •since before the age of 22, or •since marrying or entering into a common-law relationship (if it happened before the age of 22).

Type C The child is 22 years of age or older, has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22, and is unable to provide for himself or herself because of a medical condition.

Sonu if we follow this then you are right cuz they are saying,"The child is under not was under the age of 22. so it means we cant put Type A eventhough our dependants were under 22 at the time of original application back in 2008. BUT say we put Type B and send them all their school and college certificates. What if they put files with Type B dependants on side for more processing? and what if they take Type B dependants very seriously and do a lot of investigation before issuing visa? I am not saying they do forsure but still we dont know, as we have seen already how they treated our files with dependants. And if we hear people saying age is locked age is locked it should mean something shouldn't it ?

This is what i m gonna do once i get medical and documents req.
1. I will put My brother as a Type A dependant in form IMM0008 &
2. I will send them all of his study documents aswell just to prove them that he is going to college continusly just to save our waiting time incase they decide to ask to see his school and college documents. (cover yourself from all sides)

Dont see any harm in this...what do you guys think?
