Kandel what u said earlier its right but when i order caips note i saw in my fees columm that dep< 22 year so i saw only 150 dollar fees if they put us in type b then all of sponser get the letter to pay extra fees like dep type b has 550 dollar so i am not confused with this i am sure we have to write type b and then they have to follow our file my age is locked in that is sure

Gaggi you were exact 22 at the time of sponsorship?
so $150 is for type B but why did you put $550 aswell. this is medical exam fee?
do you agree with my above post?

Kandel in my file my sister pay 150$ so my doubt clear when i saw my file in caips notes so my age is lock in dont worry kandel .but for Imm 008 we have to put type b bcoz the instruction we have to follow i am know 24 so no worry bcoz my age is locked in so i read cic OP2 processing guidelines for overseas family family member its is clearly mention in it that dependant age will be locked at the time of sponsership.onw thing more if the dependant regularly doing studies with good marks then no need to worry whether i am 22 or 30-40 bcoz main concern is no gap-no regularly fail in exams

This is from IMM0008 guideline

From the list, select the type of dependent child:

Type A The child is under the age of 22 and is single (not married and not in a common-law relationship).

Type B The child has been continuously enrolled in and in attendance as a full‑time student at a post-secondary institution accredited by the relevant government authority and has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent either: •since before the age of 22, or •since marrying or entering into a common-law relationship (if it happened before the age of 22).

Type C The child is 22 years of age or older, has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22, and is unable to provide for himself or herself because of a medical condition.

Sonu if we follow this then you are right cuz they are saying,"The child is under not was under the age of 22. so it means we cant put Type A eventhough our dependants were under 22 at the time of original application back in 2008. BUT say we put Type B and send them all their school and college certificates. What if they put files with Type B dependants on side for more processing? and what if they take Type B dependants very seriously and do a lot of investigation before issuing visa? I am not saying they do forsure but still we dont know, as we have seen already how they treated our files with dependants. And if we hear people saying age is locked age is locked it should mean something shouldn't it ?

This is what i m gonna do once i get medical and documents req.
1. I will put My brother as a Type A dependant in form IMM0008 &
2. I will send them all of his study documents aswell just to prove them that he is going to college continusly just to save our waiting time incase they decide to ask to see his school and college documents. (cover yourself from all sides)

Dont see any harm in this...what do you guys think?

Hi kandel, I totally agree with gaggi as when we initially filed our case, the age was locked n if they had to arrange the files according to type A or B, they hav already done so.....but right now we hav to fill most recent info n BTW, my brother's friend is only 20 at present n he did not send any educational documents but cic asked for all again....so no harm to send educational documents......however, if cic have our record then they knw that we chose type A initially n as now if dependants is over 22 then only we select type B.....

recent doubt about dependant children or age can be clear from this read page number 8----http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op02-eng.pdf

Hi guys,

do you know if a sponsor can leave Canada to work overseas AFTER his parents land and get PR cards? I know sponsors must live in Canada when applied to sponsor but do you know where i can read about residency requirements afterwards?

This if for my co-worker who also sponsors his parents and wants to go to work in the USA after his parents get PR (they already got PPT requests).

Thanks!
Yes, for sure sponsor can leave Canada and work elsewhere. However, sponsor is still responsible for sponsored person's basic needs such as food, shelter, etc.

I am also in the same boat. I am assuming the we were the 'unlucky' random picks to under go deep background checks.

Yesterday, my Ecas chabged to Decision Made and today ireceived an email taht the passport is ready.
But there it is a problem:
[i....]however (according to FEDEX Romania) the FEDEX airway bill you have submitted cannot be used.
Therefore you must initiate a "request for pick-up" with the courier.[/i]

Anyone else getting stuck with an issue like this? I did exactly what FEDEX canada told me to do and now I learn that the waybill is not good.....

I didn't understand why they returned your passport without visa. Are there any issues with passport?
