I see on some threads people indicated that "their parents passed the medical", Just wondering how they know that?
they click on their status (either Application received or In process) and see more details... that's where they see Medical results has been received...

Woohoo........got the passport request for my mom.................

They want us to send it to New Delhi(LVO).

Since my mom is here already, can she get her visa issued from Ottawa???

anyone has any experiences.

Congrats asidhu!

What does your e-cas status say?

There was someone earlier from ND who had a situation similar to your in terms of sending the passport.

Cutie, which documents you mailed in Sep 2011? Sponsorship? I don't think you will hear from them soon. They are only requesting additional docs from those who applied in 2009.
Citizenship will not affect your application. Just notify CIC. that's all.

You can ask CPP-O but I feel its too late, another user on canadiandesi got PP request from Seattle, did you tell them that your mom is here?

Issue is, how you gonna send it?

For me status is still showing "Application Receieved", although I received email from CPP-O that "Your medicals have been received" but nothing indicating any further.

Mostly its when they see "medical received" on e-cas but please note this is not always the case....in some cases people have passed their medicals but their e-cas still shows "application received". I think as long as you have the confirmation letter of your parents medicals.....dont worry about e-cas.

Congrats to all my dear frnd of forum who get good news to tell:)

Luck786, Shuga,

Thanks for your input. I will follow the link and request a GCMS.

I somehow thought that since later months of 2011 all the Visa processing was done in Ottawa. As per the pilot program?
some cases - where local knowledge is not required - are processed in Ottawa... some cases (all cases with dependents and some withouth dependents) are processed in LVOs...

I can confirm what parkbr says regarding passport request. We are visa exempt( from the UK) and had to send only copies of the data page of our passports.
I think it is very unfair for people who have sent their passports months ago ,not to have them back and completed yet. I hope those in that situation get completion very soon.

Thank you kandel, h-india, and gaggidhillon.

I hope all the best and hope things will move swiftly for your cases..

Hi nanapush, I have a question for you.
I wonder "a photocopy of the biogarphical page of your passport" means the first page of the passport that has name, photo, birthday, etc, etc.
The rest of the passport pages do not need to be submitted, correct?

- I was just curious as when I applied I had to submit a passport, and just recently, I had to photocopy all pages of my passports for Citizenship.. -

Thank you a lot!

Re: Parents sponsorship will affect change of Status from PR to Citizenship?

Hi there heto po ang time line ko:

Sept 2011 - Mailed Documents and received at the same month but there is no reply saying that they receive the documents. Still waiting :(

My passport will be expired soon and im planning to apply citizenship but does it gonna affect my sponsoship with my parents? I was told that once you change the status you have to restart again the application. I need some help here thanks alot and God bless. :-\

Cutie30, your citizenship will not affect the sponsorship. Mine is actually happening concurrently and it did not impact on anything.
I also requested the name change and when I applied Citizenship and got worried about not able to identify my parents etc, and when I asked CIC and they said it's all linked together, so don't worry about it.
Currently, my ECAS has both my parents immigration and my citizenship.
Hope this helps..

NEWBIES or NEW MEMBERS - Add your parents sponsorship timeline in this Spreadsheet. It is helpful for you and other members. Because everyone has access to spreadsheet you can add your timeline (sponsorship information) on your own. Follow these 2 steps to do that.
Step-1 Click on the link provided in this post.
Step-2 Simply add your timeline at the very end, for example if last member's timeline is at no.156, you will be no.157. Does'nt matter when you have applied either in 2007 or 2011. Once we update the spreadsheet which we do few times a day, your timeline will be moved to where its suppose to be automatically. Then keep your timeline up to date by adding recent changes in your sponsorship application.

Here is the link for spreadsheet and its also in mine and other member's signature as a shortcut.
