Does anybody still waiting for the notification after the status changed in August, or it is just me?
Good luck to all of you and thanks
As Mockava mentioned, I am also in the same situation. When did you submit your original application? I am wondering if they are trying to honour the order in which the original applications are received. I was close to the end of the date range for the first batch that Ottawa started processing (original application Feb 2009), so perhaps they are making us wait...an enquiry to my MP has confirmed that it is a positive decision that has been made and that a COPR will be issued, but no timeline could be provided! Very frustrating as my parents are waiting to move.

Congratulations!! Kandel
I am so happy for you.

Saini Thankyou :D

Hira.n, Were you under age of twenty 22 when the sponsorship application was submitted? If yes.......In that case you need not to be a full time student....that is what I heard from lot of other forum members and verified from the requirement check sheet which i received from LVO for additional documents. Fortunately the dependants in my application are still under age of 22 and studying.

It is definitely frustrating but I think your parents will be first to get VISA once they start issuing..

I think you are true. Overseas Allocated Targets is 32000.

hopefully all LVOs exhaust their quota for this year because unfortunately they do not get transferred over to the next year. hope to hear good news from everyone in the near future. keeping my fingers crossed.

Hello,

I saw online on Ecas a decision was made on my application to sponsor my parents and a letter was sent on Sep 26. when I called the CIC Call center I was told the application to sponsor was approved at CIC Mississauga.

CIC Call center agent told me it may take upto a month to receive a letter. Is this correct? they said they would do something only if I have not received that letter for a month. I live in Manitoba does anyone know how long would it take to receive the letter from CIC ? and also I didn't receive any email notification.not sure what why? My understanding that they notify you through email.

Hi Tony.patti: Yes, it took exactly one month for me to actually receive the letter of sponsorship approval since e-cas showed it was mailed out. It was the request for medicals that arrived via e-mail. Based on the e-cas activity, I figured out the letter was actually mailed out three weeks after the e-cas stated it was mailed out. Plus from a three to seven days (based on where you live) for Canada Post to deliver.
