do you mean that CIC can do something elase instead of doing security/criminality checks?

What I meant is CIC can simply sit on an application(s) and do absolutely nothing about it while saying that sec/cri process is going on. How else can one explain that some parents get the passports stamped in 2 months while others who have submitted the ppts a year ago are still awaiting results?

my case is in CPP-O... i don't see people from CPP-O getting visas after 2 months from medicals... people from CPP-O with medicals in March-April just starting getting visas...

Hey, we are almost there. A few months here or there should not matter too much. But I do understand the anxiety...

that's exactly what I'm concerned about! that they are sitting on it and doing nothing! don't understand how they are supposed to fulfill the quota for this year sitting on applications doing nothing...

thank you... i hope so... and i understand that there is nothing i can do - just wait...
just expected CPP-O to be working on clearing the backlog - not sitting on cases...
and was upset with GCMS notes with no new info...
and my parents want to go on vacation abroad in November - December... so they are asking me if they can go or they might get passport request in November - December... and i don't know what to tell them... because i can not predict if they get passport request this year or next year...

There are at least 2 persons on our spreadsheet who are from India and got their visa in less than 2 months from the medicals. So don't worry, our turn would come too. I still believe, that CIC is issuing visas based on the original application date - its true for 2008 applicants. Can't say how 2007 applications are being handled.

1st communication with LVO was a mailed letter (AOR of her PR application, arrived in mid summer 2011)
2nd communication was the meds request, by email, adressed to her
3rd communication was an extra doc request (CSQ, as we live in Quebec), also by email, also adressed to her
4th communication is this morning email, adressed to me.

But now that you said it (about communication with LVO Bucharest), I start having some concerns....

My mom is also currently visiting me in Canada, on regular visitor visa (which I just asked to be extended).
Her adress, on Ecas, is that one from Romania.

So this means that LVO is going to send the passport request to that home country adress, by regular mail? Not by email?
On top of this, I'm not so sure if, in that moment, she would be allowed to send her passport by mail: Canada -> Romania, and then back, in preposted enveloppe, Romania -> Canada.
Any hints abouts these issues (the passport request and the passport submission)?

what do you mean you would not worry?
i'm worried about timing... they have to complete criminality and security - correct? but CIC haven't started yet even if received police certificate in February and passed medicals in July...

Shuga , I have been interested in your case ever since I saw how quickly you responded to the request for paperwork in Nov 11.
Our case is being handled by the lawyers who successfully negotiated our son's immigration through BC PNP after he was badly advised by CIC on a route of immigration.
Our paperwork requested on 25th November 2011 was not submitted until almost at the end of the 90 day limit. I can imagine your frustration at having to submitted remeds having got off to a flying start. All I can say ,looking at what seems to be happening is that 2007 applicants seem tp be among those who are currently getting visas.Maybe they are respecting the chronology of applications. There are exceptions including RobinAndy on Trackitt whose application for his mother went through London very quickly.
However our lawyer recently told us that she would hope to hear about a decision for us from `december to early 2013. That would seem to fit into some sort of pattern and may even be respecting the original date of application.

I hope that you will hear something soon as you have been very patient and at the same time very supportive of others in their waiting.
We are parents of a son and daughter who both now live in BC and are now more than ready for some conclusion to our waiting. Your original timeline is similar to ours and hopefully we will all get a resolution sooner rather than later.

I'm also from Romania. My mother's PR application is with CPP-Ottawa. I expect the LVO from Bucharest will send us the request for passport - hopefully soon since from August 4th the E-Cas shows "Decision Made" but we still received no communication.

I'm wondering if all communications you and your mother had from Bucharest LVO were by email? My mother now is visiting me in Canada and we wrote this in a letter to CPP-Ottawa so that they know the communication should be made through me, my mother's representative. But I'm just worried whether the Bucharest LVO might send the passport request by mail to my mother's address in Romania.

i expected CIC to start criminality/security after the medicals are completed... any idea why they havent' even started it?

I am also not sure. Only reason that I can think off is CPP-O may want to transfer your file to LVO and have LVO to take care of these checks.
I know my case was transferred to LVO after medicals but I am not sure who/when started security checks until I receive my notes. btw: last time I checked, my file is back with CPP-O.

What are you expecting to see in your ecas update?
You should pay the RPRF in order to see the next update or to get the visa. Pay it ASAP and you will have the visa soon. Good Luck.
