Just occurred to me, you guys think it's a disadvantage of having folks here on a visit visa. From an officers perspective, they might not see the rush as parent is already visiting.

As per Ricks timeline, I should be receiving Meds request around now but nothing yet plus I am rep so the mail might take a while from India

I had another issue, I sent their FBI and Indian PCC via registered post about a month ago and Canada Post still doesn't show as recieved, I have opened a "trace" but they said that many times, Indian mail doesn't sign or send info back so it might have reached.

Now, if they ask PCC again - I wouldn't know if the original reached them or not

when did they request PCC from you?

Hi user828, you could ask your MP office to check to see if they received it or not. In my case, MP office informed me that the PCC has been received and no issues. Alternatively, you could request GCMS notes.

Also, regarding the processing, I believe every case is different. I heard earlier people screaming about processing times by ND LVO. What do they say after Rick2007 case. I guess there are many hidden factors, which none of us may aware, that may affect the processing. Earlier, we all were under impression that CPP-O will be faster, but so far no one received (one or two) passport requests from CPP-O, on the other hand, people got passport back with visa stamped in it.

you are right sponsorparents, so many hidden factors, which none of us may aware at all by us.

In my case, i was so worried and in tense when CIC- LV New Delhi sent me first letter with timeline guideness that it will take whole process around 43 months.

But now last couple of months process was so fast at LV office which is unbelievable. In other forum one of member already received same status like mine in online and his file was transfered to LV - New Delhi too.

Now i am in more curiosity to received the letter from CIC as earliest.

Previously one of the forum member indicated that it may CIC rejected my case.....which is highly doubted?

cross fingure and waiting for letter from CIC......

I applied for GCMS so will wait and watch

I am disagree with the delay for hidden factors. may be depends on visa officers and luck. I haven't find any strong reason for years of difference from one case to others. CIC simply don't follow the precedency of intial application time at all. I don't see any justice in this regard.
some 2008 applicant already got visa,Most of the CPP-O files are at final stage, even some 2009 got medical request. whereas 2007 people are still waiting to start processing step2, even some 2006 waiting for visa.we don't see any action from CIC to make this fair.look at unfair distribution of Visa quota !!!
Good thing is that cic at least moving even with unfair way.Good luck for those still waiting and havne't get any correspondent from LVO.

I would say possibility of rejection is highly unlikely and/or nil for sponsorship application. Unless otherwise any medical or security issues. CIC have to tell a reason for each rejection.
I am 100% confidant that you would receive visa, its just matter of days and postal delays. I am so happy for you.
So only me and Van80 were waiting being approved as sponsors in the same week as you and Teri. I am so happy for you guys. Enjoy your moments.

well... according to sponsorourparents.org the approval rate is about 82% (varies from 50% to 100% from office to office) for parents/grandparents applications...

Hi all:

How do I order GCMS notes? I am not my parents rep. Do I have to sign it or can they request it themselves and have me receive it on behalf of them?
What kind of information will it contain?
I heard it takes about 30 days. Is that correct?

Thank you!

I like the statement in your footer. Rightly said about the family. I will pray for your parent's case to be finalised earlier.

......

If you order CAIPIS then you will see whether these have been received by LVO. I also had similar issue with CANADA POST for a returned parcel within province, the status never showed whether recd but eventually I got the refund for the returned goods.

Yes, it' s exactly what is bothering me; any hints abouts potential reasons of refusal? Any stats somewhere?

P.S. I'm ready to send the GCMC request; what must be written at LOCATION (Section B, Electronic File area)? The LVO?
