Yes, it' s exactly what is bothering me; any hints abouts potential reasons of refusal? Any stats somewhere?

my guess is that a good chunk of it are sponsors without enough funds that asked to forward their application to LVO in case if they are not approved...

P.S. I'm ready to send the GCMC request; what must be written at LOCATION (Section B, Electronic File area)? The LVO?

I like the statement in your footer. Rightly said about the family. I will pray for your parent's case to be finalised earlier.

Thankyou so much for prayer saini :-)

Hi All,

I have some good news to share...

My parents got medical request today. The letter was dated May 30, 2012 and was sent from the LVO. I was really surprised to hear so quickly from the LVO for medicals after my application was sent to them on May 10, 2012.

Good luck to the rest of you who have apps sent to LVO...

Smruti

hey simrank, i saw that you got the visa, congrats. i have few questions for you as my file is also being processed in nairobi.
1. are you in english canada or in quebec? i'm asking because it seems like the low income cut off requirement is higher in quebec.
2. when they asked you to provide proof of financial capabilities, did they only ask the last 12 months or more than one year?
3. what did they ask? t4 slip? employer's letter? revenue canada "c" print?
4. did your parents get interviewed before getting the visa?

Gaggi - First congrats on your sponsorship approval. No, mailing address will not change by itself. Mailing address will be that of a representative. If you want to change the mailing address on application, you need to either use online service on CIC website or Fax New Delhi LVO.

When you change address online, website would state that address will change in 15 days. However, expect to have change reflected in 2 months. I changed my parent's application address online in the 1st week of July and this week the change actually happened.

Online service is not for LVO files, I went through this before. He has to send fax to ND with Rep form, when I did this..I saw the changes within 1 day

Hi popoulos,
Your post took my attention as you mentioned your LVO is Nairobi. Mine too, if my sponsorship is approved, which I have been waiting since Oct, 2007.
Just wondering if you have dependents in your file.
And Simrank, congrats! Please fill us up with the goodies from your end so we can hope for good news for us too.
Best of lucks everyone!

no difference... it's a request under Access to information act
