Hi,

When you click on the status "decision made", you should see a message -"we sent you a letter <DATE> about decision on your application." Do u see that?
If YES then when u talk to CIC agent you should tell them that I haven't received any letter sent to me on the <DATE> specified on my e-cas status.
GOOD LUCK

Also first part of the initial application I used a rep
But for additional document I did it by myself since he was asking for another 600 dollars so I didn't call him back
He kept harassing my calling me everyday and even shoes up at my home
Could it be him try to make it hard for me since I didn't use him as rep

I dont think anyone can mess up with our file that easily....what you think he did? called cic and cancelled ur application?
i know cic agents are not helpful to give us right information but they are trained well to deal with privacy and stuff plus they dont have authority to select or reject or withdraw our application...and one more thing if you are thinking he might have wrote letter to mississauga... CPC-Mississauga doesn not respond to random letters...alright!! dont panic. Just for your own satisfaction call cic agents and tell them what is on your mind.

;D I'm so happpppyyyyy!!!! My parents just called to let me know that they got the passport request email this morning, since they live about 20 min from the embassy they took them today at 2:00 pm....They have to pick them up tomorrow!!!! I couldn't believe it... But it finally happened.... tomorrow my parents have their visa in the passport!!!! :D

Hi
Can anybody suggest me what does it mean to ask for finger prints of my mom only and not for dad by CPP-O? My parents just did their medicals two weeks ago?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you sakamath and jatt-going-canada for your replies. Much appreciated!
The email from CIC also says that if you can't provide a marriage certificate, then you should provide a detailed explanation for the reason. Since my parents are in different countries, I can perhaps say this to CIC and send some of their marriage photos instead and other govt. documents that show them as husband and wife? Can't think of any other 'creative' solution!
apple-talk or anyone else: could you please update my timeline; I am technologically challenged :)

Also, has anyone, whose file is being processed at CPP Ottawa, recieved a request for Passport stamping after doing medicals? What's the next step after medicals are recv'd at CPP-Ottawa?

For your reference here is the email my parents received.... eCas is still showing "in process"...So is not very accurate ....hopefully things start moving faster for everybody

"Your application has reached the final stage of processing. In order for your visa to be issued, you must now submit the following documents to the attention of the Embassy of Canada, Immigration Section, Av. Francisco de Miranda c/Av. Sur Altamira, Caracas 1060-A, Venezuela:
- Your passport

You must bring these documents to the Caracas Visa Office between 1:00pm and 2:00pm, from Monday to Thursday. If you are unable to come in person, you may send the documents by FEDEX with a pre-paid envelope and a FEDEX account number (9 digits).

You have 30 days from the date of this letter to submit this documentation. If it is not received within this time, we will assume that you are no longer interested and close the file.

Sincerely,

Immigration Section
Caracas-Venezuela"

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY!!!!

Your parents are in different countries? is a parent in Canada?

You can request Marriage Certificate via Indian Consulate

Here is Sample Form - https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http://www.cgivancouver.org/forms/POLIC.pdf

Your mother/father can request with the letter/email you received

Alternatively your parent in India can get an affidavit stamped by a notary.

Another option is you can show your birth certificate which has their names, Indian passport pages which show their names

I believe its better to give them the documents than explaining why you can't produce them
