Someone ordered GCMS notes. 60 days policy was indicated on the notes. Please see early post, I can't remember who posted before.

In this case, you will see MER on your eCas by Sept. 6 or earlier.

Thanks for that ,it's useful information to know.

You're welcome! Are you in UK?

We have been here (Vancouver area) since March for a 6 month stay and will return to UK on 19th September for a few months . Hopefully during that time we will get our visas and we can make permanent plans and not have our lives on hold any more. We have been doing the 6 month stays since 2007 and then we applied in 2008 but did not think it would take so long. We are luckier than some in that we don't need to get visitor visas but are tied to the 6 months unless we extend. Both our children live here daughter (married to a Canadian she met in the UK) and our son who got PNP here in 2007.
Our grandchildren who are here cannot understand why we have to keep leaving but we have a house in UK which is rented out when we are here (a financial necessity)and our life is very complicated living part -time in 2 countries when all we want to do is be here to enjoy our family.
A word of caution to all sponsors in regard to parents moving here. We have found it useful during this enforced period of waiting to get used to the Canadian way of life and in that respect we know for sure that we will settle in to being here permanently. Canada has the same language as the UK but the culture is very different in many ways so it can be difficult for people to settle if they have no time to adjust to those differences before moving here.

i live in Vancouver as well, lovely place. On my recent trip to India, I had a stopover in UK where the immigration officer said " vow, lucky you - I wish I could come and live there and oe day i wanna settle there ".

Nothing. Singapore LVO sucks !!! Not many people on the forum to compare.I think we are not expecting anything before next year(may be End of next year based on quota). They have around 2000 backlog. Got only 1000 Quota for 2012. Only 180 has been processed in 2012Q1. kmsn07's file was transfer in march still no AOR !!! Frustration !!! have you recieve CAIPS note ?

my file was transfered to LVO Moscow at end of
february (with dependants), end of july, i received a request for medicals, PCC , payment and additional documents. the letter was dated july 17th and 60 days from the date of the letter was given to complete it all. So lost 2 weeks while the letter was in transit from Moscow to Canada.
Ok thanks and Congrats for receiving medical u are very lucky unlike applicants from Newdelhi or Singapore..Good luck with medical

Hi kandal, they r frm ND n they sent there documents(asked in nov 2011) after me i.e close to deadline. However, one thing i don"t understand is that in letter (nov 2011) they asked to take steps to obtain police clearence n havn"t asked for it since now and on the other hand as far as i knw all 2009 applicants have submitted the pc with other documents as they asked for it. One more thing, in the AOR, did they mention time to finalize the application? pls let me knw
Ohhk are they from one our forums? they sent documents after you but got medical req before you!! see it all varies we cant predict anything. I hope they ask you soon..my understanding is it depends on the officer we get some are fast and some are lazzy :-\ .I know they asked to obtain PCC but i think they didnt know that process will take this long. I didnt send PCC with documents cuz i know my file is going to LVO. So i will send it when they ask for it. No they did not mention any time period. All it says is "Your application is now in queue and will be processed based on the date that the complete application was received".

Oh that's good! One member with username Malditaako got "In Process" earlier this month and it was "Medical Result Received" since June or July. And june_bug and I got only "In Process" earlier this month, but our parents did the medical in July. I guess you only need to wait for now...not to panic. So if you don't mind, when did they start processing your application in our LVO?

I think the 3 of us have similar timeline but I have a sibling as a dependent though. Mine was "In Process" since August 9th. Not really panicking but my Mum is in the States and she is supposed to fly back to Manila next month. If we don't get her passport then, we need to re-schedule her flight again and we already did this once. That is the hassle..
