Hi Everyone!
I am new to this forum to post stuff. However, not new to followup/read the threads though. All of you are doing a great job, sharing experiences. :)

I applied for my parents (with two dependents) in Oct, 2007, still waiting for Sponsor approval. :(

I was wondering if any one of you know about a file number that starts with F....
I called CCIS the other day and was provided the new file number. Please advise.

My parents application has a file number starting with F. It is being processed in CPP Ottawa

Thats awesome news! Congratulations!
You received no letter or email yet? Let us know when you do!

No, no comunication as well

Thank you for your quick reply, northclare!

I submitted the Additional Documents requested in early Feb, 2011. But, I haven't heard anything from Mississauga or anywhere, just waiting in the darks.

How did you find out about the F... file number, did you receive any AOR? I haven't.

Yes, I got AOR via email on January 20, 2012 after submitting additional docs to Mississauga in December 2011. It had file number starting with F

Sorry to bother you, but how is your eCAS, mine states Application Received for both Sponsorship and Permanent Residence part.
Is it how it should be, just incase if they happen to misspelled my email addy and didn't receive it in my Inbox.

Re: File number Fxxxxxxxxx

My dad's (and 3 dependents) application starts with F and it came with PPR, Medical request, and request for additional documents from our LVO.

Thanks, Moraine!

So, let me continue praying and hoping some good news would come some time....this year...next year....who knows?

Congratulations Northclare & Mockava
Wow,that's really really great news.It took only one month for processing and decision made.Looks like lot of other CPP Ottawa people will be getting same status. Now we would know how and where the passport request will go.
I wish CIC speed up the process at LVOs too.

Timeline:
-My sister applied us in October 2007
- We got our confirmationg receipt of immigration application package date September 12, 2009 but we got it in October 13 because there was a big typhoon(Ondoy) and when it arrived the envelope had stains on it and we were nervous that the documents inside must've been ruined. (but it wasn't ;D)
- Passport Request and Medical Request in December 23, 2012
-We sent our Passport on first week of january and the medicals were finished in 2nd week of february
-And we got our visa stamped at 08-01-12
- We got the passports back at August 4, 2012

I hope everyone will get their visa's too!

Thank you Luck786. For me it was more than a month. TheY started procesing application May 17th, so it did take some time:-)

Now wondering by what means and where the letter will come. Of course also if it is approved. We are hoping it is, as we do not see any reasons for refusal, but you never know, until you hold the letter in your hand.

It says in the documents with our passport. There is a statement that says "BEFORE You Leave for Canada. We will let you know what further procedures are required"
Are we going to wait for some kit/ document to arrive?

Thanks a lot, dags! I can imagine having your passports with visas, that's GREAT! So your visas arrived 4 days after they stamped it. Is it through DHL or Air 21? We have similar LVO that's why I am very curious. I know you guys are very busy now so I am not asking for quick response. Congratulations to you, to your parents, and ULTIMATELY ... to your sister!

Just checked Ecas - application for permanent residence has changed to "Decision Made"!!!!
Now need to see where the passport request will come from and how long that takes.
I am my parents' representative and it is my address in Canada they have on file. All previous communication has been by email, but this may be letter?

CONGRATULATIONS! THIS IS GREAT NEWS!
