Hi,
Does anybody have a sense why some LVOs ask for passports along with medical requests, and in some LVOs this is a separate process? My mom had her medicals done mid May and no news yet on further steps. ECAS says "medicals received" and "in process".
Thanks for any suggestions...

Depends on LVO. I am waiting since Jan 2012. Nothing yet... Hope you will recieve PP request soon.

Thanks so much. Helps to hear that others are in the same boat....Our LVO is Vienna, so even after Teri's experience, there is no way of knowing how quickly things will move. Good luck to you as well!

Why wouldn't he, it's impossible to tell from stamps too, I see one upon the other etc..its like a maze

In additions, stamps are unreliable. In 2000, Canadian Border Agent stamped 2001 instead, this created lot of headache when it came for citizenship as it showed me out of Canada for 1 year. During my citizenship ceremony, I went upto immigration officer and told her, she said oh that's Ok..didn't even bother looking at it, she said we don't rely on stamps

Uh well i guess that's another difference between PR application and citizenship. I know what you mean wen I had my citizenship interview the officer did not even bother browsing my passports! But, on my PR interview in Canadian Embassy Manila, the officer did really asked me about my travels. It sucks because some other spouse applicants were not invited for an interview, they got their visas through mail and most of them have no travel outside the Philippines. So we are hoping and praying that my parents' application will go smoothly and I will include all of you here in our prayers. I know the pain and sometimes it is unbelievably annoying. Let's just do our best to satisfy them because I am sure you know how convenient it is once you hold a CANADIAN PASSPORT.

Hi All,

Here's an update on my parents application. The e-cas status has a new line that says "Medicals Recieved".

My parents submitted their passports two weeks after the medicals as per CIC's request.

Would anyone be able to know what the next step will be? How long do you think it will take for them to receive visas?

Please advise.

Thank you,

Simrank

Check this out it will show you what's next.

For faster and easier processing of application in response to asking medicals, passports, and other docs--All together at once.

Hi Moraine...and thanks.
Problem is, there is no way of choosing - we were not asked for the passport yet. Oh, well...we'll just have to keep waiting! :)
Good luck!

I see, I guess there is that added time frame for them. I am actually more worried on how to send passport from Canada, once they ask for it

Hi Guys,

I have a quick question regarding parents sponsorship.

Does CIC asks for updated income proof between the immigration case . The reason I am asking is I applied for my parents in 2010 August and had 6 months of income from 2009 and 6 months from 2010. The 6 months income in 2010 also includes personnel income ( i sent the cheques and everything ) .. After I sent my file I lost my main job and went on parental leave ( since I knew parental income is included ) I did get another job after 6 months resulting my 2010 income less by 6K :(...

My income for the precedding month from August 2010 to July 2009 was ok.. But 2010 was less by 6k .

Now for 2011 my income was over the asking amount and will be good for 2012 as well.

My question is will they ask for all years income or will they ask for income at the time they work on my case like if they open my file in 2013 will they ask for all 3 years ( 2010, 2011, 2012 )... does any one has any experience regarding this....

I called the CIC help desk and asked if i should pull out my file due to this, she advised me not to do that..

C
Hmmm..yeah dont do that, keep your file in queue....There is one more case which is similar to yours but LVO Visa office told that person that they will Re:access her case..k so i suggest dont pull out your file.I hope everything goes well for you gud luck

Question about GCMS notes - again :-)

I sent a request for those (by email) a while ago (less than a month but close) . Have not heard back yet but I am wondering if they would have let me know in case they needed anythign else from me to fulfil that request?
I am a representative for my parents so I sent a scan of the signed use of representative form to them (along with the request form, receipt and copy of my citizenship card). I did not send the consent to release information - only a signed use of rep form (a bit complicated for my parents to get this other consent form so I decided to try withut it, just with use of rep).

I have not heard back from them (except auto-reply to my email). Should I assume they accepted my request and just wait (if they have not asked for anything else).
If it takes significantly longer than 30 days should I contact them again ? I know some people got a letter saying that they needed more time to provide notes but I have not received anything so far...

Hello, my doc was req'd in march and I sent docs on May 14 but still waiting for AOR or approval, anyone have similar time line and similar situation ? I have dependents on my file.

Thanks,
