Sorry to be so ignorant, but I dont understand this.... If you dont want to study, why you keep enroling? Why dont you do independant immigration to Canada or start working in your own country insted of trying to play the system. Don't blame Canada even before you come to Canada.

Pardon me for intruding but when we all applied 4-5 years ago, the time line shown to us was different than what it's ballooned upto and people make plans accordingly. The individual is force to keep his student status so he doesn't fall of the boat and he has every right to be excited/agitated. He is not playing the system, he is being patient with it and its never ending changes.

We need to help each other out here

help each other at cost of what? I cant agree to something which is wrong to start with.. I dont think any dependent 21 or older should be allowed to come with parents. They can come to Canada but they should wait longer may be 10 year to come to country. Who deserves the visa more? A 22 year dependent or a single parent ?

many sent PCC with the additional docs and now simply getting request for meds and passport

ur rite user828.

I sent PCC with additional docs and now the Med Request says that "if you have sent PCC, dont send it again".

Simple, Anyone who sent it with additional docs dont need to send PCC again. I can speak for OTTAWA ONLY.

Fortunately my mom was back home when we got da request for additional docs, so got a PCC which we submitted, and she has been in Canada since then.

How old were you when the sponsorship application was sent to CPP-M? If you were younger than 22, then you don't have to be studying to continue being a dependent. If you were younger than 22 when the application was submitted, you will still be considered a dependent even if you stop studying and start working full-time. The only thing is that if you get married, you cannot be considered a dependent anymore. Hope that helps.

It's been more than 2.5 months (11 weeks) since we received the approval letters on May 7th, 2012. Why does it take so long for medical request? My file was sent to LVO Singapore. I read some the posts, all claimed it's about 2 months to receive the medical request. The LVO Singapore is so slow. I'm 25 now and a dependant and studying in a second college, gonna graduate in August. And now, enrolling in a third college. I have to keep the continuous studying process because i'm older than 22. This is a tragedy for me. This really affects my life. Imagine you have to study in the third time in college!!! I can wait. But not this LONG. It's been 4 years now, a few years more would kill me.

If you want to go into debate neither of them.Single parent has no priority over a dependent coming with parents. It is simply a family reunion programme. On what grounds they should give priority to single parents?
Parents are just parents ,single, married or with dependents.

Come on guys, please don't start another heated discussion. Lets hope that everybody is treated as a priority and everybody gets to see there loved ones.
