well i send the medical to local office
Thanks for your reply!
There seems to be a confusion around it. My parents are going for their medical tomorrow and they have asked doctor to send the medical directly to Ottawa as was suggested by most people on the forum. But I guess it does not matter much! Good luck!

The rule of thumb is: On the medical request letter snt by CIC, they mention the address where the medicals should be forwarded. The medical results should be forwardedb to this address. Usually, medical request letters are sent by local visa offices and the address is that of the medical division of the local office. However, in case of people whose files were being processed by Ottawa, the medical request letter states an Ottawa meduical division address. The local dmps may not be aware of the new process and would, by default send the results to the local office. Ultimately, wherever the medical results a sent, it would reach the correct office, albeit after some time. To avoid such delays, especially after we all have waited more than four years, the advice is to double check whereto send theb medical results and ensure tyhat the dmp is aware where to send it.

there was NO address in my e-mail from Ottawa requesting medicals... it only said:
"Your examining practitioner will send your X-ray and results to our medical review office."

Some DMPs send results to Ottawa... some dont...

If the dependent child reached 22 while the application is in-process, would the dependent be still under Type A of dependent children?
Should the dependent child provide proof of continuous full-time study for the additional docs., even he is under 22 at the time of initial application?
YES YOU WILL HAVE TO SEND EVERYTHING SINCE DEPENDANT REACHED AGE 22 OK

I just have a quick question, I applied for sponsoring my mother in June 2009, got confirmation from CIC, I know that the next step should be requesting additional info, will the request be in the form of a letter or email, and will it be sent to me here in canada or to my Mom back home??

It's a letter sent to the sponsor in Canada.

If the dependant sends the proof of continuous full-time study now together with our additional documents, but the dependant would be graduating this coming May. Would cic require him to be in continuous full time studies until landing in Canada?

yes dependant should be a student until he arrives in canada otherwise immigration will think he got the job and he is not depend on your parents anymore

There is a lock-in date for dependent children.

See for example http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op01-eng.pdf page 18:

Family class: Lock-in (of age) is based on the day that the responsible Case Processing Centre
(CPC) receives a sponsorship application. The documents downloaded to CAIPS from the CPC
will specify the lock-in date.

If age is a factor that makes an applicant admissible, officers should use the applicant’s age on
the lock-in date. As long as they are the right age on the lock-in date, they can surpass it before
admission.

See also http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op02-eng.pdf page 8:

The lock-in of age for dependent children is the day CPC-M receives a completed IMM 1344AE
and correct processing fees. Dependent children must be less than 22 years of age when the
sponsorship application is received.

and page 15:

5.13.
Who qualifies as a dependent child?
R2 and Section 6 in this chapter describe who qualifies as a dependent child.
In order to meet R2(b)(i) of the definition of “dependent child”, a child must be under 22 years of
age and not a spouse or common-law partner on the date when the IMM 1344AE is received by
CPC-M, and not a spouse or common-law partner when the visa is issued, and when they arrive
in Canada.

If you read what I wrote above, you will see that as long as you were under 22 when your parents applied for theirs and your immigration as their dependent child, your age is locked in and you remain a dependent child as long as you don't get married or enter into a common law relationship. If you are studying in Canada, you will also have other opportunities to immigrate if your parents application isn't working out.
