When order gcms notes which one is the best option CD or Email? Section C question 4: File# is that UCI# of the person who sponsor or the file# that LVO issued with the letter B?

Email is best method, if the file size gets too big then they will send a CD anyway.
We ordered once already, they sent it by email which was good, takes a month at least.

Can anyone tell what all documents are required for parents immigration so that I will start making arrangements for them and when the application window opens, we will be ready with everything required for the application.

Go on CIC website, and check the forms such as:

IMM008 (generic form)
IMM5669 (schedule A- background declaration)
IMM5406 (additional family information)
Try filling them out, obtain missing info, etc.
Parents even have to list the names/date of birth, addresses, etc of their parents and siblings, sometimes its a pain to ask relatives for this info so try to obtain if possible.....some people get suspicious if their bros/sisters ask for their DOB, etc.


Have them compile/write down their Activity, Addresses and Employment info since age of 18 years. (as per form IMM5669)
Have them obtain police certificates for all places where they lived for more than 6 months, each country if appliable.
Have them obtain passports and ID Cards, etc.
Anything not in english should be translated......

Nobody knows the new rules but this is usually what CIC will want anyways.

Hi friends if someone can help me to understand gcms notes. It says security, criminality not started and gives due date for the same section....does that mean assigned officer has to complete required fields by that date? As I noticed for my siblings sections it says elegibily status- not started and due date is 25 jan 2012 and the letter my sister got regarding her studies was dated for 25 jan so I guess due date means they have to complete required fields by that date....I guess

No, its just that these were the forms used before July, 2011 - they changed the forms after that and then paused the application in Sept 2012
You can't and don't have to fill anything now, be patient when the new rules come out and whatever forms are needed as it might change completely

At the bottom of gcms notes, they have provided details in notes but most of the text is missing....should I request another set of gcms? It seems like imp info as it has details of relationship of applicant to sponsor and dependants which shows that relationship requirement met. Then it has info abt the letter was sent to my sis but detail text is missing....what should I do.....pls reply

Another surprising info which is missing some text is that 2 requestes were recvd at CPC M to withdraw spouse of principal applicant due to medical reasons....however, meds done and....text missing. I was shocked, I mean who has sent the request...thank God at some other point in notes it says no action taken for the same field....but I have send email to ND that no such request was sent from our side.....did anyone has same experience, I mean text missing in notes?

You mean they will only accept Canadian Lab results?

Well, not sure if this will only affect the 900 ( looks like it ) or ALL so it wont affect other backlog hopefully
