RA does not affect your eligibility to secure a PR status for Canada as it is neither contagious nor taxing on the healthcare system.

I don't want to rubbish it completely as astrology has predicted some to the point stuff for me in the past.

Does anyone know anyone who have received an immigration visa for Canada when there tourist Canadian visa was still valid on the passport. That is only thing that can justify delay on my parents' case who have a valid tourist visa till end of April 2013. Otherwise a "decision made" status for two months is quite disturbing. My family in India has already checked with post office to ensure they did not miss anything.

My parents had valid visitor visa when CIC issued them immigrant visa. My parents visitor visa was not cancelled while PR landing. Only their immigrant visas were striked-off. They still have a valid visitor visa stamped on their passports.
