CIC Ottawa called me on January 24 to know if my father is in Canada, if yes until with date. I told them that my father is here until March 15 they. Since Monday I can see decision made in my father file and info will be sent by email this week.

i wish to sponsor my parents from pakistan.. what are the requirements? i mean, how much money do i have to show that i make, to sponsor my parents?
and can i still sponsor my parents while m studying, because my school is starting in september.
and can my sister (15years old) be sponsored as dependent child with my parents application?
and lastly, will it be a permanent immigration? i dont want a super visa for the.

Thanks Sakamath.. Ohh in our case we got the medical request on 3rd january and got it done on 28th january'2013.. After a day only the clinic called for test of sputuum smear and culture(I guess IMO has the authority to conduct Sputuum , if they see a spot or infection) so they asked my mom too undergo this test for 3 days.. Pakistan does not have a desginated list of doctors but instead there is a proper Clinic called IMO , which conducts medical test for few contries UK,Ausrtailia , Canada, etc. We have to go there and get our medicals done.. Also the IMO doesnot provide us with a copy :/.. They just give us a receipt that medical has been done , thats it..

Don't worry Hira .your lock in date for meds done is 28th jan.
IMO Karachi will send the culture to Islamabad and they will end the result back.
Does your receipt have a photograph of you guys on it?

Requirements= You must have minimum Income required (LICO) by CIC ,depends how many persons are in family in total.
You should have enough income , but if your spouse can cosign then no problem.
Yes you can sponsor your sister as your parents dep child.
It will be a Canadian PR not visa.
But you have to wait until Nov 2013 to lift the freeze on parental applications ,and then there could be new rules and requirements.

Yes, case specific. If CIC is asking for any "information" (not documents) - I guess in your case it was local address?, then its better to use the online form. However, if they ask for documents like certificates or PCC, then we have no option but to mail it.
Regarding "scanned documents", if they pertain to the ones' you already sent but CIC is asking for it again (like guramrit's medical documents), then such scanned documents can be sent via the online form - provided you also attach a covering letter signed by the PA explaining the issue and the documents.

Sak, not sure if you have been following my case but I never got the request as you did on 26th Nov ( Passport, IMM008, IMM5469 checklist etc ) and been struggling to have then send me that
So in-spite of me being their REP, they contacted the Ph # on file which belongs to my friend in India. They confirmed his address twice, with spelling on the 28th so I am assuming they sent him the paperwork, and then in the night I got meds request via email

So I assume, you don't mean I should scan IMM008 and all those docs and send via case-specific query? I should send it with their request letter correct?

Hi Yesterday I got AOR letter from CHC-Islamabad dated 9 Jan 2013 asked for additional document if not already submitted.
most of the things we have already submitted except
SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FORM FOR PAKISTANI NATIONALS,FAMILY TREE and POLICE CERTIFICATE.
I need help to fill out FAMILY TREE Form from those who already filled family tree.
As I sponsored both parents with no dependent and Father is principle applicant.

-Correct me if I wrong that both parents need to fill separate Family Tree IMM1411 form.
Its has table A and table B
-In table A "Family of" box in SECTION 3 father or mother name will come.
and on right and left their brother and sisters.
-TABLE A SECTION 4 Children of applicant [as I am the only one so my name will come in this section]

NOW I am little confuse about TABLE B on back of the form.
it mentioned "VERTICAL EXPANSION OF SEC 3 or 4 AS NEEDED"
here they will fill my name, my spouse name and kids or they will also need to fill theirs brother and sisters name + their spouses and kids
Please clarify last point.

Unfortunately you cannot do that. sponsorship frozen till 2014 and not sure when and in what form will it resume.

super visa is the only option for you.

I mean no disrespect but try searching for answers before posting such requests.

Yep, I've been following your case and tribulation with CIC

And your assumption is correct - do not send IMM008 etc via the csq. I thought CIC was seeking a local mailing address from your friend (which they need to mail the ppt) and that the email you received (reply by 28?) was referring to this information.

@lucky: U cannot imagine how tensed i am :/.. The doctor said it looks like an infection , not spot. Also i did a bit research on sputuum test! I was asking my mom what color was it and she said it looked like pinkish in tone :/.. Which is not a good sign at all.. Anyways i suggested my mom to go for a x-ray and sputum test from aga khan also, so we can know about the results ourselves , and if god forbid there is something wrong we can get it operated, since doctors are not going to disclose the results :S.. I called aga khan laboratory today they said that there are going to be 3 results, one we will get it in 1 day, other in 2 weeks time and the third one after 6 weeks.. So lets see fingers crossed :S..

One more queestion .. I have seen many cases when they inquire the applicant to go for additional medical request after 2 months? Why is that so?.. Like the IMO before sending the medical tests to Islamabad asked for the Sputum test a day after our medical was done.. Whereas , i have seen cases when they ask about sputum test after 2 months when the medical was orignally done! A bit confused :-\.. Would really appreciate , if someone could clear my confusions :S.. Thanks in advance..

Don't worry Hira. Ten years back They also ask me for sputum test after one month of medical done. Medical officer found a spot on X-ray but DMP didn't recognize it. It took me two month to get the test. Again nothing to worry, if infection is found (Hope not) it will take couple of month to cure.Now a days TB has easy treatment, you better consult with doctor if they can detect by blood test.

Hira please dont be tensed....your mum will pass the medical without any problem. Just keep faith in God and pray everyday. Dont get sad everything will be fine.
