Hi there
I need some help here. I sponsor my parents and my brother in 2008 and have'nt got any medical request or any thing till now. What should i do its been about 55 months. Here is my timeline
I applied intially in may 2008. Addtional document request in nov,2011, letter from cic canada to me in canada saying that every thing is clear your case is in new delhi contact them in ND if there is any change in address.Then my parents recived an email in june from ND saying that your file is in Process after that nothing. Please help me if there is someone in same boat.

For those who did MP inquiry, did you actually see the ball rolling after it? AFAIK - it didnt matter for many as they simply told them the status as MP says that we cannot assist in making the proces faster, unless there is an inside procedure where they say are obligated to show action after an inquiry

I have ordered GCMS which they didn't process timely, so had to send email again and faxed ND as well, with no luck so will wait till at least the GCMS comes back

There are indeed of few of us, ( who we know ) through the forum, but could be more. I also read, ( perhaps in passing ) that even ND request PP, meds from applicants, they will give visa in line from original application ( not sure how true this is )

There are also cases where an Oct 2007 applicant got med request on Nov 26, Smodhera ( user here - 2007 applicant ) got other request except PP and Meds so this is very vague

or the holiday break, the Richmond office of Alice Wong, MP will be closed after December 21, 2012 and will not open until January 2, 2013. The Ottawa office will be closed after December 21, 2012 and not open until January 7, 2013.

The MP's office can assist with Federal departments or agencies, the most common ones being:

- Immigration Canada
- Canada Revenue Agency (Income Taxes, GST/HST, etc.)
- Employment Insurance
- Passport Canada
- Canada Pension Plan / Old Age Security / Guaranteed Income Supplement

A common request is to determine the status of an application. You would have to sign a consent form to allow us to make a detailed inquiry on your behalf, and we will then be able to report back.

For other inquires on Federal programs, at the very minimum we can provide a point of contact to a specific Federal agency that best fits the nature of your inquiry.

User as u already know i did mp inquiry in january 2012 cuz i did not receive add doc request in nov 2011 with others. I received document req on mar1'12 and then missisauga did second batch on march 30'12. I still dont know if this was cuz of mp or mssisauga realized that they missed earlier so answer of your question is i am not sure if they really do big help but as veeru's post one of her relative received medical request after mp's inquiry. I would try in january aswell lets see what happens cuz faxing did not help.

Ashleen mp is member of parliament of your city. If you dont know who he\she is google as user said. If you do know just go to his\ her website call them make an appointment. Most likely you will only see mp's assistant they will ask for your file number and other identification information. Ur name, address, uci number and file no. From your AOR. Mp's assistant will call cicND and inquire about your file. Make sure you tell them that other people have received medical request except you. But my mp's office is closed until jan7 so i will meet after that.

@ Kandel I hope you don't have to do a MP inquiry and get med request before that.Through your MP Inquiry I think you would know where your file is right now in the process.Best of luck and may 2013 bring best of best things for us.
