I have just checked e-cas and it says "decision made" you will be contacted by immigration regarding this decision!!!!

From experience, how long does it take from seeing this status to actually hearing what the decision is??

i recieved email today to undergo for medical and passport request. i am here in canada on student visa and my visa will expire on end of feb 2013 and my parents are in india.please suggest me what to do.should i send me passport to india or is there any other way???

For the representative form, you can use the old form (march `12) if the date on it is less than a year old - most likely it is.

First of all - congratulations!
As far as medicals are concerned, you can undergo your tests here while your parents in India. However, with regards to passports, you may have to mention on the covering letter (of passport request) about your situation and that once the application is finalised you would submit your passports. This is just a suggestion, not sure if CIC would accept it.

Edit: You cannot send your passport to India. As per Indian laws, it is illegal to send passport overseas by mail. But if you have someone going there, that`s a different issue. Then again, you`d have to worry about landing formalities.

Passport LOST by LVO Delhi

We received the Visa today. However, we had submitted 2 passports for my mom, one current & one expired, and Delhi LVO only returned the current passport. We need the expired passport as it has valid Visas on it.

Has anyone on this forum had the same issue.

Also I feel bad for people from Singapore Visa office. Can you guys not raise your voice together? may be report to some canadian newspaper etc. I don't understand the reason for delay in that visa office. For visa office in troubled(unrest) countries, CIC has an excuse but what is the excuse for Singapore office.
