How did you get to know, did the Ecas status change? or did they inform you by email
Also on yr timeline I see that passports were submitted in Jan 2012 - when did you submit the PCC & landing fee

I got the passport request for my parents yesterday by email from ottawa.
E-case still Application Received.

Question: The letter states the visa if issued will expire on 3rd may 2013. so that means my parents must be in Canada before that day. Do you think that arriving in Canada by end of March would cause any issues? or they should come as soon as possible. I mean they want to avoid the Canadian winter (at least this time) as both got operated recently and my father is due for another eye operation this month.

Your parents can come any day before May 3rd..They could come in third week of April if they want to avoid winter.

Did anybody know how long it takes for LVO Bucharest to issue visa after passport was received by LVO?
Another question is what courier I should use? I am thinking to use DHL.

Congrats Saini01... Yes your parents can land in march..... The safest will be to land on or before May 02 (a day before visa expiry)

My timeline is as follow:
Applied: sep 2007
Document request: Nov 2011
Approved & file transferred to New Delhi: May 2012
Medical, PCC, Passport, RPRF requested: Oct 2012 (Already sent to them on Oct 31, 2012)
eCAS status as of Nov 1, 2012: medical rec'd

Don't know how many months its gonna take now. Please share yours

Thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that PCC is only valid for 6 months and in our case we had submitted PCC in Dec 2011 and now they asked for new PCC

It looks like it depends on the office who is working on the file.

How often does eCas updates done by CIC Delhi? Daily or once a week

In the email sent to my mother, it was mentioned 15 business days since they receive the passport.
I used Fedex.
