Hello user828, I submitted all the documents which were requested in Nov 25, 2011 letter and file was transfered to LVO Islamabad in July. my parentsn received a letter from LVO asking to submit the documents, if not already submitted, so I submitted the PCC and other additional documents which were not submitted earlier in Canada as response to letter received on Nov 25, 2011. I provided references in cover letter that these documents were submitted earlier and attached copy of all those documents. Is this ok or not as I saw couple of comments in the forum that the documents submitted in Canada will remain in Canada and we need to submitt another set of all those documents once again? Can you please answer or anoy other forum member who has some information to share on this issue?

Parents medical delivered in May 12, status showing " medical results have been received" , little worried.. my father also has army background , don't know if that can delay the process. he was in army 35 years ago.... some people are getting visa with same timelines...

We are still waiting. No word from Vienna. If anybody has experience with Vienna, please share.
How long are the medical results valid? A year?

Medicals are valid for exactly one year from the date it was undertaken. What's the status on the e-cas? Does it say medical received?

The same thing happened to me, I believe the correct details are here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3998E_tempA.pdf

Thank you so much.
There is a difference in size, though (one is 50 mm by 70 mm and one is 35 mm by 45 mm).
So, we have decided to send both sizes, just to be on the safe side.
Good luck : )

My parents medicals were delivered on April, 30 still no news. As per the current trend with CPP-O, most of the people who sent medicals in Apr should get PPR by end of October.
In your case, I think CIC will definitely do additional checks (for army), but they might have been finished by now. It may be just matter of time for an officer to pick the file and move it to the next step.

I am confused - you were requested docs like all of us on Nov 25, you submitted them to M'ssauga. Your file was approved? and then xfered to Islamabad and then Islamabad asked you for the same docs? and quickly

Can you explain in a list/date format the sequence of events

@ user 828
Yes ISL is asking for same documents + more after the file transfer, along with PCC.

Its always pain to do the paper work. It will be frustrating if you have to redo all the work. Not sure why CIC asked you for paperwork again. CIC should have done better a job in you case.
indeed it is pain, but what we can do? i am also wondering why CIC asked docs again!!!!!

I got the letter today that my sponsorship application request is approved and I am so glad about it. I though have a confusion that my parents are in Canada and the file is transferred to local visa office. So what happens next, I was hoping that my parents can be here with me while the file is in-process but looks like I did not got select for CPP-O.

I did requested for the local visa office as I believe we cannot request CPP-O with in Canada as that in not the visa office.

Any one has the same situation??? What needs to be done now??

Hi user828/luck786 - Yes file was approved in July and sent to LVO. LVO asked us to submit documents PCC, family tree, supplementary information form, education dependants if they are over age of 22......etc....we submitted these documents as these were not submitted earlier. The forms IMM008, IMM5406, IMM5469, BIRTH CERTIFICATES, MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE....ETC were also mentioned in letter from LVO. We submitted the copies of documents which were submitted earlier to Missisagua......as it was mentioned in letter that " submit below documents if not submitted earlier.....Question: Is it ok or there is chances of potential delay as I saw comments in forum that the documents which we submitteed in Mississagua will remain in Canada and LVO need additional smilar documents to process our cases?

Friends, I need your help again, please!

The letter from Ottawa states: "your passports are to be sent by pre-paid courrier, at your expense, with the return cost included".
I just got back from the post office, where Canada post does not deliver such service.
So, if you were in a similar situation, what company have you used to send your parent's passport abroad to the Canadian embassy?
Mom is here.
She can do landing here but she still needs to send her passport to the canadian embassy in her country of origin to get the pr document.

Please kindly advise!
Thank you :)
