I heard that in this case the parent will land in Canada, not leaving the country, in the closest cic office.rajmalhotra7 said:Your parents would do the landing in Canada by exiting Canada and re-entering. Take that letter, passport and COPR back to Canada border and do landing. Once that is completed, PR card would arrive by mail in few weeks. you may check the processing time on CIC website. You do not need to apply for PR card separately for new immigrants.
