All,

Ecas status for my parents changed to reflect third line saying " Medical results received"

Once I presss "In Process" It takes to another screen with following three lines

"
We received your application for permanent residence on April 15, 2008.

We started processing your application on June 22, 2012.

Medical results have been received
"
Not sure, if results are accepted..
I have read somewhere here that if ur e-cas shows "medical received" it means you wont receive any more requests for medical and you have passed the medical exam...so i guess its good news

Kandel,

thats what I heard too.. You may never know... this is agood sign about ND LVO that things are moving at good pace.. as long as you have the correct documents send to them and there are no dependents on file, things are moving at much faster pace than past..

Hi folks,

I have been following this thread for a while and wanted to share my timelines:

Parents nationality - India
App filed: November 9, 2009 (CPC-M)
Doc's Request: March 30, 2012
Doc's Received by CPC-M: June 2, 2012
Application Complete Letter (AOR): July 12, 2012
Approval: Waiting
File Transfer: Waiting
Med's: Waiting

I was wondering if any of the experts can advise how long after AOR should I be receiving a file transfer letter?

Also, I was thinking of calling my parents over on a Supervisa - are the medical exams for the Supervisa and Immigration identical? Was wondering if it is possible to use the same medical for immigration purposes or not (although I highly doubt this can be done).

Thanks in advance and hope everyone get's their visas soon and are reunited with their families!

It might take few more months for meds, but if you get it and go for meds, the doctor can do it for dual purpose. From what I have read, that even if you got meds done for Superivsa/Regular visa, they still ask for meds for PR. CIC agent old me otherwise ( said they only ask IF further information required ). My folks are here too, and still waiting for meds and passport request which is another headache as I might to send pp to India. If I were you, I would ask folks to wait and come here on PR

Thanks!

Yes I guess since they have a valid visa anyways they can come over and visit for 6 months or so.

I hope by that time the file will have gotten approved and med's request will have been received.

I recvd AOR frm ND in Feb 2012 but after dat no update yet....
Well....Sometime i get confuse if da e-mail sent to me was really an AOR as it says "we recvd ur application for PR on april...2008 which is the original date when i actuaaly applied. Shouldn't it says the date when file was recvd by ND.....hwever, at da bottem there is adress for ND visa office n they asked in e-mail to keep checking website belongs to LVO i.e ND....

Well we didn't even receive any email. Don't know what's going on. :(

Following the various timelines I see that LVO ND is not issuing any visas while other LVOs have already visas to some applicants. Based on the fact that ND has one of the highest backlog and quota shouldn't they be giving more visas. Not sure whats going on.

Its just a matter of time.
I think ND will start issueing visas very soon.

the question still remains as to why one of the busiest LVO is not able to give visas at a rate which is more in line with their quota.

Because it is busiest :)

busy without work i guess, if you have 10,000 files and a 6,000 quota there is no reason to sit on your ass and look at files.

Thanks ICJ for your help!

I guess its quite random. Same thing happened to us that CIC asked for fingerprints for me dad and not for my mom. So no need to worry.
If your parents are already in Canada then getting RCMP fingerprinting clearance is much easier.
