It should take about a year. From what I understand, CIC has given itself 2 years to clear the backlog (hence the pause in accepting new applications).

We don't know whats going on the Local visa office. We should raise our voice in case local visa office don't move faster. We are tired of waiting,now getting sick. I mailed singapore CHC last week about the current processing time. No Response yet.

as regarding the proof of relation with parents i actually never had birth certificate but i got one from the embassy of my country where they issued me one as certify as in that they wrote my parents name too as in my parents case they have marriage certificate for sure but they also need to get affidavit of birth certificate but can i also send pictures of myself and my parents as we have many pictures of mine from childhood to adult age so do u think sending pictures of me and my parents together also a kind of proof and also like my backhome passport in which they wrote my fathers name and also my high school certificate graduating it has my fathers name on it too and also like my national identity card where my dad name is there so can i send these documents as kind of proof i really appreciate anyone share idea about it

you dont needs to send the picture the identity card and school certificates, youcan provide your household registry document as well where your name is stated and your father name is there enough, now since in your post you mentioned that the proof of dependent chilldrent of parents : if you are sponsering your parents then you dont needs to send anything then what i said above but if your brother or sister sponser your parents and you accompaying them as dependent children then you have to do two more things
first proove that you are full time student and have no gap in your study : that means you are still enroll in school witth fultime course and continuning study and you dont have any gape between since you reach age 18 i think :'( and not married in that you needs to get certifacte of your study, letter from the school saying taht you are full time student, and if you have fees recipts informations avilable.
Second is prove you are still finacially depndent on your parents : if you are abel to prove that you are full time student and no gap then its easy to prove that since you were studying all this time you ddidnt had any job and you still depndent on your parents to provide the finalcial support. in that you can put your collage fees recipts which showes your dad paid them, your bank statemnt where your dad put the money in your account, if you dont have any ofthis then you can get the declarations from your dad that he is fully supporting you , basically get affidevit from lawyer and get his signature on it.

As Pari4U has mentioned, there is no need to send photographs. The main document would be an affidavit. This should be followed by a letter explaining why you are providing the affidavit and not the documents requested by CIC. To support your claim, you can also provide additional documents like you stated. Mention in your letter, how the supporting documents provides the visa officer the assurance they need that you are the child of your parents.

So far, no one has claimed to receive such emails from CIC-M. Yes, there was a case where the local office has sent an email stating that the file was received on xyz date.

I got email from cic-m before my ecas changed to decision made for sponsorship approval.They sending test mail for checking the email addresses.

Thats strange!! why did they send letter now saying they received your file on 12/02/2008? when did you receive the letter?

Seems now a days CIC taking too long to issue visa after receiving passport. They used to return passports (affixing visa) within two weeks earlier.

e-mail recd CPC - M - file has been approved - Jan 30- 2012 and forwarded to local visa office New Delhi
Online status changed - Decision Made
E-mail received from CIC - India - file in process and here is the email

Not sure how long CIC-New Delhi will take to send email asking for Medical and PCC.
