Prior to applying for PR, I applied 3 times for visitor visa for my mother all the time it was rejected. In dec 2007 I sponsored her and in March 2012 I applied for SUPER VISA, unfortunately it was rejected too.

http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/politics/article/1146305--super-visa-applications-for-visitors-to-canada-are-often-rejected

Try again, I have heard folks with same situation but when their sponsorship was approved and sitting in New Delhi, visit visa came by easily

This question is for people who got medical request from LVO New Delhi. If anyone else can answer it as well feel free to do so.

How did the LVO New Delhi send the request for medical, email or through regular mail???

Thanks.

Shuga, any news on your side? Have you got finalized adiitional medical tests and submitted or not yet?
my mom finished aditional tests last week... don't have a tracking number yet so not sure if it's already delivered to London or not...

My mom is here in Canada for a visit. Medical request was sent to my mom's home country. Is it possible to have medical exam here in Canada? According to the letter, medical exam should be done within 45 days from date of letter. The letter was dated June 21st but was received on July 9th. Should I count Saturdays and Sundays in calculating 45 days? We are planning to have the medical request letter to be sent here in Canada from my home country but would take time. Is it possible to get scanned copy of the medical request letter so we can present it to the doctor? Any idea how much is medical exam fee here in Canada? We are located in Toronto. Please help....

it is possible to have medical exam in Canada... try to call a doctor in Toronto and ask if he/she accepts the scan of the request and about the fee... there are many Panel Physicians in Toronto:

anyone know what is the validity of pcc in india?
i think mine is expired now..been over 6 months..i hope they dont request it again and cause further delay :'(

A PCC is generally valid for a year. But I doubt that they would ask for a fresh pcc at this late stage of your process (even if the pcc was expired).

I think you can get the medicals done here, but because it is LVO they might need to be sent to the LVO by the doctor here. If it is a CPC-O file it is different. Scanned print outs are fine. My parents got the request in an email and they printed it and took it to the doctor.

I compiled data in the table above from various resources released by CIC. As you can see there was a surge (almost double) of sponsorship applications in 2007 and 2008.
Realizing this CIC announced several changes last year (including freeze on new applications for 24 months).

There was a total of 123,178 applications received between 2006 and 2011. I assume that all 2006 have been completed. It seems CIC, at present, is processing applications received between 2007 and 2009. Total applications received between 2007 and 2009 is 78385 of which 47716 are in process.

It shows that:
Overseas offices have 17470 applications under selection decision (after sponsorship approval) and final decision has already been made on 12193 applications.
Ottawa Pilot office has 11665 applications under selection decision (after sponsorship approval) and final decision has been made on 220 applications
Mississauga office has 18581 applications under selection decision ( sponsorship not approved yet)

It is my opinion that parents and grandparents of 2007-2009 applicants (approximately 35000), who have already received sponsorship approvals, will get their visa in next 6 to 9 months. Passport requests and visa stamping should pick up speed in second half of this year, which has already started...Goodluck to everyone.

A backlog of 2007-2009 applicants may also remain along with 2010-2011 applicants (approximately 44069 applications which are still in storage, awaiting to be reviewd for sponsorship approval). This backlog is likely to be processed in 2013 and early 2014.

Those who are thinking Ottawa is quick, may be right but must also remember Ottawa is taking off load from all visa offices and it is likely that straight forward (requiring minimal local knowledge) cases are being processed in Ottawa. However it is also notable that Ottawa has finalized only 220 application as compared to 12193 applications finalized by LVO's as of April 08, 2012. Finalized applications at LVO's may also include inventory carried over from 2011. My estimate is that Ottawa Pilot and LVO's will finalize another 15000 applications each in next 6 months.

**As of March 31, 2012 CIC completed 1216 Cases during 2012,
of which:
1133 cases were approved
0083 cases were rejected
a total of 1850 Visas were issued

Avoid calling Ottawa or LVO's as it takes resources away from processing applications.

Then you must be doing something wrong. From what I have seen if you have income and your applications is correctly filled there is no ground for rejection. I have lot of friends whose parents have gotten visa without issues and extensions too.

You guys may be lucky. But please understand the frustration of Raju735 or similar member who had bad luck. There are lots of crooks out there for those innocents are sufferer. Visa officer's judgments are not always accurate and there is no scientific way to weigh this. It doesn’t mean that applicant makes anything wrong.
Definitely we are here for better life and better future for our kids. We don't want to see any injustice and unfair measures here. People expect fair, Justice and transparent policy from CIC, only this can ensure less number of sufferers. Parents sponsor option gives hope to the people and then we stretch it or it becomes three times longer. We stressed people, put them in waiting game, hanging their plan and life on it. CIC was unable to forecast the path such that at least people know in which process they are going through. But positive thing is those has been addressed finally and hope backlog will be cleared in fair way.

I feel we are also combing lot of LVO's together, comparing a Vienna quota and visa time line with New Delhi or Indian applicants is unrealistic. We hear about one and then get all upset, but it's completely different scenarios here

i hope we all get visa soon:D
i can understand raju's frustration..
The news that someone who applied a year after you and got medical request and you didn't is naturally gonna make one sad..
but there is still hope ;D

idk why raju's app for visitor visa was rejected.. my dad had got visitor visa in 3 days after sending docs..
