Hi,

Congraulation...I wish that you will get some good news very soon.
I think you should check your e-status if it has changed from "Application Received" to "In Process" or "Decision Made".

I hope I will also have some positive update in coming weeks.

It seems CPP-O has paused a bit again. I am expecting status change to "In Process" but it had not happend in the past 5 weeks.
CPP-O may no longer be treating parents sponsorship cases as priority.

Congrats kandel!

Sponsorparents, same here! Waiting for "In process".

Not sure how many staff Ottawa has but in that excel spreadsheet we see that the amount of work for them increased significantly compared to the last year. I think they can' physically process such a huge volume in a short period of time.

Hi Kandel
Congratulations
I am so happy for you.I pray you get your approval as soon as possible.I can imagine how happy you are.

Anyone any recent experience of getting medicals done in Vancouver area? Choosing from the list is our next step so any help would be appreciated. Also an indication of what is involved other than Xray.

Our file was transferred 19th April so 11 weeks from then to getting medical request. (original application 1st June 2008)

I think you are right. All CPP-Ottawa will get visa this year as per quota. And LVO applicant are fk'ed up. Sorry loose my patient, LOL !! waiting sicec 2007 no update from Singapore LVO. Hopeless !!!!!!
that's what I have been saying since I started posting.....my main concern is if Ottawa can request medicals in weeks why cant LVO's? why it takes for ever for LVO's to send request for medicals?
I have been saying that whose medicals are done, now they will be asked to submit passports and in couple of weeks visa's will be issued. Where as for applicants (like us, whose files are transferred to LVO) will still have to wait ( dont know how long)
I have been saying that this way of processing is like discrimination ( files transferred to Ottawa gets medicals in weeks and files transferred to LVO dont even get medicals even after weeks), unfortunately see the response i have got to my previous posts.

the most logical way is to transfer the files where there are low applications, so that files can be processed fast, afterall CIC has centralized system and files can be accessed from any office

we should sign petition and contact sponsorourparents.org. We must unite and raise our concern against this way of processing files. those who are affected must speak out and take appropriate action

@raju735 I understand your frustration, I would feel the same had my file transferred to NewDelhi. You got to understand that when your file transferred to NewDelhi, you are joining at the tail end of an 'already existing' queue. Where as files transferred to Ottawa doesn't have a long queue. The files does not need to wait for a long time in the queue for its turn. However, you can see that the Ottawa response time is also slow now, as the queue is started to pile up now. Just my 2 cents.

how would you feel when Jan 2009 file gets medical request and who applied in 2007 still hear nothing?

on what basis is the file selected for transfer? why only files transferred to Ottawa is considered as Pilot Project? we all applied for parents and paid applicable fees, then why on Ottawa is being given priority?

if files transferred to LVO starts getting medical request and are issued visas and those from Ottawa would still be waiting, will your feeling be the same what you have mentioned?

Nobody from Ottawa in this forum got visa yet, not even for the 1st batch transferred to Ottawa in January 2012. Vienna LVO office is fasted, this office finalized parents' files in 2 months.

medicals for Ottawa is done, now next step is request for PP and then visa stamp, as for LVO medical not even asked.....medical might be asked in couple of MONTHS, and then PP request in couple of MONTHS and then visa stamping in couple of MONTHS!!!!!!!!!just imagine how long the wait will be. cant understand how govt says it wants to reduce back log?
