Hi SimranK, one more question: Is the "home address" same as the "mailing address" on your application?

You're welcome!

The process was horrible. First of all, the parents have to apply in person at the Regional PPT office (Worli or Thane depending on where they stay). Then comes the police verification. You have to call them frequently to keep track of where your papers are (it goes from ppt office, to police hq to respective police station and back).

It would be best *if your parents can* apply from the Indian Consulate here then get the pcc from here itself. Less headache.

Thanks SimranK. Hope the rest of the process of your parent's PR be complete just as fast!

Hi All,

I have some good news to share...

My parents got medical request today. The letter was dated May 30, 2012 and was sent from the LVO. I was really surprised to hear so quickly from the LVO for medicals after my application was sent to them on May 10, 2012.

Good luck to the rest of you who have apps sent to LVO...

Smruti

congratulations Simrank ( smruti ) one step closor, seems like your LVO is working fast , hope delhi get that movement as well too :-\ >:(

the projected backlog for delhi is just under 1400 at the end of 2012. This would be after issuing 6000 visas this year. So the prospects for those who applied 2009 and before, should be quite good. *thats the optimist side of me talking* ;)
