CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO ATTACH A FILE HERE IN THIS FORUM AS I WANT TO SHARE A FILE A FORM...

We cannot 'attach' a file on this forum, you can however, use google docs www.docs.google.com and post your document there. You then share the link of that document on this forum. Just take care that you do not include any personal information on the form and share it. That would be very risky.

agreed with sakamath be very careful when you share the documents and informations, that would be stupidity if you do share them online its better to hire the representative or lawyer and show it them for accuracy then posting on site. ppl here are not professional , they can just give you advice for general question.

Hi Pari4u,

No updates for me as yet. Hope to see something by the end of this week.

Thanks...

Thanks for updating Singhnx01! You are the first one so far from us 'locals' :-)
So, it looks like it took them less than a month for AOR (Jan 25 transfer and Feb 10 AOR), correct? Was your AOR by email?

Do you know what we are supposed to do regarding police certificates? My parents already got one (I asked them to get it to avoid delays once we submitted those additional documents) - as I was hoping we will get a request from Ottawa as many did. Now with the local VO, I am not sure what to do with itand it will expire in less that 2 months :-( (it is supposed to be less then three months from issue when submitted).

I am thinking may be submit it - especially if it is going to expire anyway (though one of the agents and some people here said that they may be returned).

Also, has your status changed in any way since the transfer? Is it still 'application received' for your parent(s)?

Sorry for responding late.. . AOR was received via email and i have seen few other people received same kind of email saying your application received for permanent residence in Canada (2008 received date) and provided tables for time lines in ND (old time frames). My parents got the PCC(Ludhiana, Punjab) in late Feburary and within next month or so,It will expire.
I am not sure if we are going to receive email for pcc and medical from Ottawa or ND office. Status under my parent's UCI shows application received as of last week. I haven't checked since

Hi Rajan -In the Google spreadsheet, your file was forwarded to CPP-O on Feb 28, and then you mentioned in comments that your file was transferred to Islamabad on April 18. Did you receive a mail or email on that from CPP-O. If yes, did CPP-O give any reason on why they have transferred file to local visa office - Islamabad. Do you see any comment/ update in E-cas? Thanks.

There is a misconception that the validity of a PCC is 3 months. CIC states that the date of issue of a PCC should not be less than 3 months of the date of application. That means one cannot submit a 'old' pcc (just like photographs). The general validity of a PCC is one year. I would recommend, if a file has been forwarded to a visa office, one should submit the pcc there (remember - CIC did suggest in their Nov 25th letter that we have to take steps to get pcc?). I am going to mail my mom's pcc later this week to NDL even though I have not received such a request.

Hi Everyone

I have a quick question, if anyone can assist me with, I would really appreciate. I am sponsoring my mom and was asked for additional info by CIC, if the originals are in Native language (not English), I knew I need a certified true copy in English along with a photocopy of the original in native language, but does any one know if I need also to certify the photocopy that is in Native Language on not??

DOES SPONSOR NEED TO SEND COPY OF CANADIAN PASSPORT TOO ? [/b]
hello Sanj99 can u tell me why u need to send copy of your Canadian passport to cic ? are u sponsor? as i am sponsor when i first stared sponsorship i was PR as i sent copy of my PR but now i am Canadian citizen as do i need to submit copy of my Canadian passport too ? is it necessary or good idea to do so as it is not asked or required in checklist of additional documents as only for sponsor it has asked c print out for the tax year the submitted original sponsorship
PLEASE REPLY ME OR ANYONE IN THIS FORUM REPLY TOO

I am sponsor to my parents and a canadian citizen. I submitted a copy of my passport as an additional document. As i renewed and got a new passport number, I think I should inform CIC about the change.
If you have not submitted your passport before, i do not think you need to now. In my case, I've submitted before and i think i am obliged to inform CIC to inform in change in my passport information.
let me know if it make sense...

so far
Officer MKI
Office JL
Officer DJ

to CPC-O

Officer NW
to Local Office

Just a thought, could be co-incidence. I think these are initials of the officer processing the case & not general term.

Btw, the sponsorship approval was send as email (PDF), no letter was ever mailed.

I had also received email last week that they have complete information to process my sponsorship case & also got AOR in Jan when they received my additional documents.

What you need to do is, get a color copy of the original document + get translation in English (which is notarized).
So color copy + original translation notarized copy will do.

I send PCC last month to CPC-M with cover letter stating I am adding PCC, which they included in the file as PCC was about to expire anyway. I am hoping to see request for just medicals now. But wait for their response. Based on timeline reported it is taking 4-6 weeks to request one after file is transferred.

Thanks apple_talk

I phoned CIC and they told me that they do not need my mother birth certificate. They only need mine, her marriage certificate and my father death certificate, and the CIC representative went with me through the document checklist and I really cannot see any birth certificate needed by my mother, can anyone advise if that is correct?? (This is the document checklist for those who recieved additional documents requested by CIC on end of March to mid April, 2012)

i did not submit my parents birth certificate, I just sent translation of my birth certificate and my parents marriage certificate.

I got the letter from CIC about the sponsorship approved in March 5, but the website showed the letter was sent on feb29. it said I should contact the ottawa pilot processing center if I need update information or have any question. I found lots of applicants got medical exam notification. so far I did not get any information. someone told me that it is 3-6 weeks between sponsorship decision made and medical exam notification. do I need to call or e-mail CIC to know more information about my case?
