Hi All

Is there anyone who has a success in sponsoring the physically disabled sibling (over 22 years of age) along with the parents? I mean calling the parents on PR and including the sibling as a dependent of parents.

Anyone???

So, how can a permanent resident person in Canada travel back to their country of origin? do they have to wait till they get Canadian citizen and get passport?

I did find this link in cic for travel document, I thought this would work. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/passport/travel-documents/apply-how.asp

If you have PR card you can travel back home or any other country for which you hold visa for. You do not need to have special documents or permission needed to travel once you have PR card.

Congrats and it is via email or regular mail ? now when u submit your passport to any vfs center. with in 5 days u will get back your passport with shiny visa sticker. which city u belong to india, which city sponsor lived in canada ?

it was regular mail recived on 14 march and the date on letter was 5 march ..
I lives in jalandhar (punjab) and sponser lives in delta (BC)

So great. Means my pirdition was right. I said before 20 we all get request for passport. Also surprise they working Saturday 5 of march

yeah they are working on Saturday .. even my status was update on Saturday (27 feb) and passport request date (5 march) ..

Coming for landing in July do both my parents
Have to land together because my dad is the main
Applicant or they can land separately
Secondly can they stay in London UK for a month
On their way here

they can stay any country. its not any concern. but may have landing both same time. first time landing is mandatory with principal applicant.

Dependents can land after the principal applicant as well. It is not compulsory for dependents to land with principal applicant. Dependents cannot land before the principal applicant.

i agree with you, eight years is too long

in my case its already four years and expecting to would take another 2 years

already my parents are 72 years and Indians do not last long

I understand you feeling and I am helpless.

we thought of bringing to our parents to Canada when its really needed, so we postponed Sponsorship.

I was sort of unfortunate but with little hope. we applied in the month of Sep 2011 and in the month of Nov 2011 they have closed the door.

and they have sent all the communication via email to an email address that was compromised.

in this process we lost time, now they say I am being place in the Queue


will it be possible to share your story, so that we could take some corrective steps

can someone advice me how to get / apply for Police Certificate / clearance for my parents who are living in Hyderabad / India.

I am not there yet (I just got letter saying my application is complete and its in Queue) but would like to know the required steps and documents required for Police Clearance.

If they have the UK Visa in their passports, they can stay in UK.
If not, then nope.
