I called CIC call center, agent confirmed my mother can undergo medical examination here in Canada and father in home country.
Hi Van80, the email that I received today says this You and your spouse should be examined by the same doctor.

Hi Guys

I have a quick question, if someone could help me with that. I completed the IMM0008 and when I validated it, the barcode that I was supposing will show at the end of my document, showed at the 4th page and part of it at the 5th page along with the consent and declaration of Applicant. Is that how it is suppose to show, if any one who already validated his IMM0008 form could please advise??

Thanks a lot

the second line also says.."If you and/or your spouse are outside of your home country for an extended period of time, you may see a ‘Designated Medical Practitioner' in the country where you are presently residing" .......

Yeah, I see that too... last time someone asked the question in this forum and people replied 'No'... if this can be done that's even better. I would suggest to fax/email CPP-O so that you will have a concrete confirmation.

I have a question. Why CIC is asking to submit additional documents/forms of their sponsored applicant if they want to make a decision only for approval or refusal sponsorship application based over LICO requirement not met? Don't you think that they should only ask option C first and only then if sponsor does or does not meet LICO requirement they send approval/refusal letter?

Let's assume if one submitted all the additional documents along with option C and then application is not approved then what is the logic behind of asking sponsored person information/documents?

starzibal,
good point.
When i was notarizing my mom's documents (I had some originals here in Canada), the notary was also an immigration lawyer. She told me that this process didn't make any sense, she tried to ask CIC the same question, that is, what is the logic. But CIC didn't give her any answers.

you're right, this process doesn't make sense. when I received the request for additional document by mistake I thought I'm approved as sponsor and I gave the wrong news to my parents ;)

That would be very unfair. Especially if the difference is processing time is solely due to which office it was sent to - Ottawa vs. local ...(if it is specific case issues - e.g. delays due to medicals or paperwork/checks issues -it is understandable but if otherwise, not fair)
Hi Anik

I got confused and want to clarify that with you, I am now filling in the IMM0008 to be sent to CIC, at Application Details, item# 4 where it is asking for Immigration Office requested for processing this application. Do I have the option to choose either my home country where my mother live or to be processed here in Ottawa, or if she is back home it has to be processed back home where she reside?? And if I do have the option, what is exactly the difference??

Thanks

I had the same situation and filled N/A and I validated it and the validation was a success.

Intended occupation: you may put either none or whatever your father like to do when he comes here.

According to what I had read, there is a reason behind it (sorry, I don't remember the source anymore). They asked for the $ 550 fee upfront along with the sponsorship application, however, they did not ask for the PR application forms/documents for the sponsored person (for whom, the $ 550 fee was paid upfront). There had been some cases where there was a problem with certain applicants and CIC had been challenged from a legal point of view, i.e., for charging fees ($550) for applications that had not been received. That's why they changed the rules for parent sponsorship in July, 2011: After this date all sponsorship applications had to include both the sponsor's application forms and also those of the person being sponsored. And they decided to ask for the PR application forms and additional documents for the parents for whom applications were received prior to July, 2011.
