My rep got email for Sponsorship approved on April 14th (Saturday).
I was asked for C printout for 2007
let's see if it goes to CPC-O or Local office
So, you (or your rep) were sent the email, not mail? Did the email not say anything about where transferred?
What does your status show - Do you see Decision made? If you do, when you click on it, does the message say that a letter was mailed to you and on which date?

Also, are you saying they approved you but asked for the option C printout afterwards?

Weird system they have - some people get emails, some do not...:) I got an AOR as email recently but then a mail for 'package complete'...

In my opinion it have to be soon because otherwise it will be not normal.
2009 applicants are sending additional documents to Mississauga and if they got Ottawa does it mean that they will be in front of 2008 applicants?
Good luck to you and all of us! :)

That would be very unfair. Especially if the difference is processing time is solely due to which office it was sent to - Ottawa vs. local ...(if it is specific case issues - e.g. delays due to medicals or paperwork/checks issues -it is understandable but if otherwise, not fair)

Submitted on Dec 15, 2011 additional docs, then on Jan 15th got email AOR (changed e-CAS to 2 LINES). Feb 1st week got email saying needs option C printout to process sponsorship application. Submitted in March tax docs & then April 14th, got sponsorship approved email.

So from past history guys getting email for sponsorship approval files moving to local office or CPC-O?

I believe most people get sponsorship approvals via mail, not email (I can only recall one user here who said they received approval by email). So, I do not think email vs. mail is an indication for which office.
So your approval email did NOT say where transferred, did it? What did that email say - just that you have been approved? Just curious :-)

I don't have the email, it was send to my rep. He will forward me in a day or so.

What I recall taking to him was it was determined to be complete.

All applications sorted by Application date in spreadsheet. This will provide indication where your status should be.

no change in online status still says "Application Received" for both Sponsorship Application Status &
Permanent Residence Application Status.

Oh, that is a different email - it is one step before the 'decision made' (approval). It means that now that now they consider that you submitted all the required additional documents and they have everything to review and make the decision. They have not made the decision yet (but you are getting closer).
Most people get the same letter by mail before getting the 'approval' one. THe approval mail or email will say which office.

I'm seeking advice of experienced people of this forum.

My situation is - mother is in Canada and father is in home country. Can my mother undergo a medical examination here in Canada and father in home country?

CPC-O wants to get the the medical done immediately. They give a window of only 30 days. Also the condition is that the same designated doctor must see both the parents.

Secondly saying, the medical examination must be performed by one of the licensed doctors shown on the "List of Designated Medical Practitioners". To access this list, please refer to our website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx. If you and/or your spouse are outside of your home country for an extended period of time you may see a ‘Designated Medical Practitioner' in the country where you are presently residing.

I called CIC call center, agent confirmed my mother can undergo medical examination here in Canada and father in home country.

Congratulations to everyone that has made a progress.
Does anyone with dependent in application remember from any CIC document that the priority would be given to the files without dependent? I do understand totally that the files with dependents take more time but I am afraid that there might be intentional delay in processing by CIC due to dependent in application. I wish we would have at least been informed of this possible delay.

Nothing mentioned about dependent on CIC letter as long as I remember. the only thing was they process applications in order they receive additional documents. Somebody please correct me if I misunderstand it.

Hi Teri, what is your local office processing time on average ? (I mean the old stats - I know they may no longer be valid but still)? Looks like it took them a couple of months to send the AOR email - wondering if that is the norm for local offices...
In email which I received was written that processing time is 9-19 months, average processing time is 21 months for this local visa office on the official web.
I was waiting almost 2 months for acknowledgement email. Average time for receiving AOR from this local visa office is a month.
But it is a politics now I think, therefore nobody knows what will be real processing time.
Nobody knows, even for the files transferred to Ottawa.
We are waiting, hoping and praying.

ok, I got another update. I must say they are really fast.

I called CIC & got further update, my sponsorship application was approved 2 hrs ago. I will have to wait 1-2 days, before they determine where to send the file. This was realtime backend information that they shared with me.

Can anyone suggest which order additional documents should be sent to CPC-M.like photos, forms and copies.which order we should put these documents.any advice will be appretiated.
