Till now we've never ordered GCMS notes, can any buddy explain me d difference in Initial Review/In-Process, & on which step(Status) they do start workin 4 (i) Security, (ii) & Background checks,

e-case updated 10days ago to "in-Process" not even got any mail/ request for anything,

Initial review is to check the eligibility & package (i.e. Forms, photos & all other formalities)
Security & Background checks comes under Processing. wait couple weeks & order GCMS notes :

one of my knw ones have recieved visa..medicls done in november..2008 applicant.
they hav one dependent..who was doing m.tech. He did b.tech and mba before that..

hii sidhu,, their medical is expired when got visa nd what is their visa validity?? do u know anything more abt their case..means abt their ecas??????

CPC- Mississauga email - CPCM-EXTCOM@cic.gc.ca and it should say "Payment of RPRF" in the subject.

Got my GCMS notes today.

File last updated on 20/09/2013
App status: Open
App Status Reason: In progress
Category: FC4
Eligibility: In progress
Criminality: Not started
Security: Not started
Medical: Passed
Location: FCU-DIS

FCU-DIS: FCU is family class unit but DIS? Down below in the notes it says medical is passed only for my parents and CIC have not received medicals for me and my brother. 4 of us got the medicals done together in April 2013. I wonder why they have not received our medicals. For eligibility there is a detailed note starting with "Recommended for waiver".

DIS is Decision area that's the last stage for the eligibility. I have same timeline as u do last update is 20 sep and file is fwrd to DIS section the officer could not take the decision on my bro who was over age 22 at the apply so he fwrd the file to next officer in DIS section same as u eligibility in progrees, criminality and security is not started medical pass for everyone

Thanks for your reply. There is a due date 08/12/2013 for security and criminality. Does it mean CIC will finish the security and criminality checks by then and take a decision?

I guessed that. Anyway I see that it has been over a year since you sent your pp to vo. When did you last request GCMS notes?

you need to pay $980 & DON'T FORGET to send the receipt to LVO & CPC Mississauga. make sure they received it to avoid further delays.

Thanks, aadi ! How can I make sure that they received it ? Should I give a call to the the Call Center of Immigration Canada and ask them if they received it or to order the GCMS ?

I've only emailed my receipts but I don't think sending it both ways will create any delays. I've also ordered GCMS notes(day after I made payments) so let's see.
