as my parents are already in canada as visitors so they asked original passport for my parents and i am dependent so they asked copy of mine
we sent on 18 november 2013
still waiting for my original passport req from islamabad

did your parent submit their passport in Islamabad as well? or they submitted at Ottawa? thanks for your time.

no parents sent their passport and my copy to Losangeles VO via courier

according to GCMS medical validity is till jan 16 2014 and police certificate till des 5 2013

just got e mail from ND LVO THAT MY MEDICAL IS VALID TILL MARCH 15 2014

in our case medical done on Dec 3rd 2012 and additional test done on March 2013

did you email them for inquiry or they emailed you to ;et you know that your medical exp date is change to march 15,
from what I see from your earlier post they took the date when last exam was done which is march for you am I right ?

so they are considering my medical expire date as 15th march 2013 perhaps it the date when ND LVO receive the additional tests
but it is also written in this e mail that file is in que and waiting for its initial review

that's what I thought as my parents did medical on dec 12 but they received the medical on jan 16 . so in gcms the medical is valid till jan 16 2014 for us hope something come up by then as my pcc also expiring on dec 5

Hi there,

I want to know how much time it gonna take for background check to get visa on family class with parents and a dependent brother.My parents medical is expiring in January.I came to know through my MP that they are reviewing our file and then will send for background check. I don't know wts that mean and how much time it will take to complete and make decision. If any one has similar situation or experience pls let me know. That would be a great relief for us. :-[

on the additional document forms, they asked to put the names in your native language as well, what do they do with the native language? how much importance do they give if there is a typo error on native language name. Please advise.

I called CIC today to get the status update on my sponsorship file. I rec'd AOR on Nov 4. They said that it is being processed, but they have until April 2014 to make decision. In April it will be already 52 months that my file is only in Canada, so 12 more months than the 40 month of processing mentioned on website.

I am not sure how long it takes to make decision on the file after AOR, but their status update for sure made be anxious.

No they said that there is no 10 weeks rule. My documents were rec'd by CIC on Oct 4th.
