hello guys, CIC mississauga sent us letter today as they want more documents of income for year 2012 and 2013 so far. They need t4s, pay stubs and stuff before sponsor approval.

I am on lay- off at the moment. Can you guys tell me if my Lay-off will be considered as income while checking Low income cut off (LICO)?

We sent all her study documents along with medical including fee receipts and letters from college that she has been attending full time. She did 2 year certification in civil engneering and then was enrolled in aesthetics course at time of medical request. In their refusal letter they said that after completing post graduation she got enrolled in courses which can be done even after completing school....so she is not eligible as a dependent...

Hi .. Thanks for reply. What u think if the situation is almost same as diploma after masters but age was 21 at the time application was filed in 2008 and till up to 3rd semester of masters documents were sent at time of medical request in January 2013, is there a chance that they can further ask for educational documents ?

I am waiting for your opinion ... Thanks

Trust me Gill, they can ask for anything, anytime. I was 21 when my application was filed and I finished my MS and I am working now. They know this and I am still in the application as a dependent. They have never asked me for any of my educational certificates, so far. What I can infer from my case is that being under 22 is more important than anything else. Just my understanding when I see myself in your place.

You will have to do some mathematics here. Calculate all your income for 2012 and see if it is meeting the LICO. Next, calculate all your income for 2013 and see if it is meeting the LICO. When I say all your income, this is anything you get, like if you are getting money for your children, if you are getting anything for being laid-off, etc. I do not know how many members you have in your family and how many people you have sponsored. So I can only advise. If you are meeting LICO or a thousand dollar less or so, no problem, send them the proof. In Mississauga, they are a bit lenient and do consider small differences and may approve you file. Hopefully, once your file is approved and forwarded to the Local VO, you will strictly have to maintain income because that is where all the problems start.

Hi, what was your income like in 2009 and 2010? Have you had any additions to your family recently?

I'm just trying to figure out why they asked you for an extra proof if your income was fine the years they requested the Option-C for.

Our income from 2009 to 2012 tax year is above the requirement. But we didnt include option c for 2012 taxvyear. May be thats why they asked for income proof of year 2012 and 2013 upto october.

In 2009 income requirement was about 44000 for family of 4 including sposored parents and it jumped to 49,500 in 2010 as we had baby in 2010.

Why didn't you include Option C for 2012? Did they actually ask for 2012 Option C when they sent you the letter back in August?

They only asked for the year we applied in I.e. 2010 and a year before I.e. 2009. But we did inclued 2011 as well...we forgot to order 2012 so we didnt send it along with with document....

But if they need for all years so they should ask for it upfront. I think there are some stupid people sitting there who like to play with people's emotion and time.

I don't think they will ask for further documents. Don't worry, believe me they are only picking on dependents over 22 as for these dependents there is requirement to continually enrol in studies....I don't see any dependent below 22 got any problem...n hopefully won't

Did you sent Option - C for year 2009 when applied? If yes then they should not be asking for it again.

I will have to go through this in the future so CIC needs income for current too, doesnt matter for sponsored year

I think the income of year before sponsorship is one most important.

Guys,

When you sent the email request to your MP, how fast you got respond from him/her ?
