I think, Background Checks are just a way to fulfill the quotas set each year. It is more of an excuse than actual checks.

tx sak and kandel - but this background check is going since march and when they everything is clear - I mean what else needs to be clear besides these checks

This is how she responded

Unfortunately, the background checks are not under the control of CIC and they must wait for the results too. For example, the police check is done by the various police departments where the applicant has recently lived and they take as long as the various police departments take to do the work and then send the result to CIC.

There are many checks that are initiated outside CIC depending on what the other checks show, so in some cases, the FBI gets involved and in others, Interpol may check on the person, so even CIC doesn't always know what checks are being done.
Interpol and fbi checks on old ailing parents? Great excuse cic newdelhi.

Dear Friends,

I have a quick question regarding this IMM0008-Generic Application Form
I really appreciate if someone can help me out.
On page 3, for both parents under Education/Occupation detail, do we need to specify the occupation of the parents.
What if both parents are involved in business, will that make any difference in the application processing and decision

Regards,
James

HELLO friends i have some questions ...please share your experiance
when does the medical expire as its for 1 year....?
is its from the date its done ....or the date its recieved by CIC.

My inlaws got there Fingerprinting done in 5 April 2013...since then no update..RCMP have no update of any status either inquired a few times with them.
TheMedicals were done on October 08 2012....
It is Ridicilous the way CIC ND works.
MP inquiry says they are doing backround checks.......
What are the chances that Visa can be issued before medical expires.....?
ANY ADVISE WHAT CAN BE DONE.....OR RATHER WAIT... :'(

Lawyer and few other seniors suggested not to. But i submitted declaration with all option c till 2012.
hi thepas,
when i got the add doc request in march 2012, I was in same situation like you and i attached a letter about situation change regarding the birth of second child. but to justify that change I had provided all my income proof i.e. notice of assesment for all the years upto 2012. I had no problem and it was approved and transferred to NDVO. So basically i gave them proof that i still meet the income requirements for sponsoring my parents even after addition to my family. If u r ok with that then there is no harm in informing them.

Hi
Anybody knows if is there is any strike going on at Isb? Actually other day I was talking to one of the lawyer and he mentioned about it. Can somebody confirm? Also if that is the case it means processing of applications is stopped completely...
Thanks

My income for 2009 is good for only 6 ppl. But from 2010 well over for 7 ppl. Anyways I don't want to hide. So I declared addition with option c till 2012. Will they say no to my sponsorship eligibility coz in 2009 my income doesn't cover 7 ppl. Or they look for my financial status from the year baby born?

for me it was same situation as u .Think logically ur baby was born in 2011 so make sure ur income should be enough for 7 people in 2011 and years after untill the decision made . Dont worry about 2009 . mine was same situation as u. It all went well through missisuaga.Rest is up to u bro.

Yes, our package was received last Friday. No acknowledgement letter yet. Just wondering if they send it in regular mail or email?

Good luck with your application! :)

They will definitely assess your sponsorship application by the amount of members of your family in respective years. You shouldn't worry about it at all! Everything will be great!
