I have a question about the LICO.

We know that each year they do raise the LICO, in 2010 it was about $4000 less than this 2013 year. So, how so they decide whether the sponsor meets the requirements - using the LICO published in the year the application was filed or the current year when they send additional documents request?

has to match respective year they asked

Anybody doing Police clearance from india upfront for the recent document requests from CIC. They recommend doing that now to avoid delays, but can someone from New Delhi office share experience of police clearance. Should we do it now or later? If doing now, won't it be expired? If expired would have to redo?

I'm just looking at the processing time for the Vienna office and it states "Vienna – Austria 54 months" :. Is it from the time we applied for the application or is only on the Vienna office.

Our file was transfered to Vienna in August 2012 and have not heard back anything since than.

If it's 54months in total only in vienna that is 3.5 years from now.


Can any one give estitmates when will we recive and email for the medicals?

Just called cic. Lol wasso ccuriousttoday that I had to call. The lady told me that they issued additionalddocuments till the end of 2010.so I should be getting mail soon. If I don't get it till the end off august, I call call them back. I guess this is my Eid gift lol.

Its catch 22, if CIC sends file to Ottawa, then they would have it and wont delay it, if ND, then they say, if we've sent it already then don't send it - they might ask again, but not guaranteed - depends on the processing time

....thats stage 2, after reaching Vienna - but its upto 54 months, doesnt take that long

If PCC is reqd from ND, it is better to wait, as it does not take long to get pcc from ND. See the link below.

thats a great news.. So they did mention that they have posted letters for asking addition documents for the applications till end of 2010.. I have applied in dec 2010.. hope i am considered in this stage..

Why would they send it to ottawa, I am putting New Delhi in visa office. My parents have multiple entry visitor visa of canada until end of 2015. They have been to canada twice for couple months.

What would you recommend about PCC, how long it takes to get it done from consulate in india. Is it better to do upfront if money is not the problem in doing again( incase they ask again later)
