My Parent Timeline per below, please can someone tell me how much longer I need to wait until Decision is made ? Applicant is here with me on Super visa currently living in Canada.

Application sent - Dec 18, 2023
1st AOR with pending docs and Sponsorship approval - May 2024
Biometrics done: Sept 2024
Medical - Although it says passed on Sept 13, 2024 we never got a Medical request
PCC Sent - Oct 25, 2024
Background check - in progress
Final Decision - Pending

But what if it takes someone longer and they reject in the meantime. Qatar takes 4 months. Will they follow up on straight away reject?

Sorry to clarify: my parents are waiting for the AOR. but since we would need to get a police certificate from qatar which I’ve heard takes 3-4 months to obtain. I was wondering if the pcc request in the AOR has a deadline attached to it? Or if. Separate PCC request will be sent also. If the AOR doesn’t specify a timeframe then it will be hard to know a deadline to submit it by. I’ve seen two things here,

1) people that receive a PCC request with a specific deadline.
2)AOR with a request for PCC without a deadline

so it’s confusing.
My situation, no AOR yet but trying to plan ahead. We have already started the process to get the three PCC’s we will need. UAE,Pakistan, and Qatar

Go ahead and start application for PCC. Since your parents are not currently living there in Qatar, this PCC will not expire. PCC's have a validity of 1 year only if it is one's current place of residence.

In case they send you request with a deadline, you can always apply for extension with proof that you have applied for a PCC (receipts and e-mail/letters from govt. agencies) in the case that they give you a deadline. IRCC will not penalise you for what is not in your control.

Apologies I’ll clarify my doubts further. I’m confused that if the AOR arrives and the Qatar PCC is still in progress what my next steps should be. Should I submit proof of application in response to the AOR or do nothing and only submit the proof once the ask for the PCC in a separate letter with a deadline?

If you receive a letter to submit PCCs (it may or may not come along with AOR), it may come with a deadline of 30 days. If you have all other PCCs ready, submit them right away.

If on the other hand, you haven't received all your PCCs: send what you have and add a letter of explanation as to why you need an extension and attach proof that you have applied, and proof of estimated processing time etc. Essentially all documents you have that shows that you have done everything on your end to satisfy IRCC of the documents they request from you. Next, as soon as you receive the pending PCC send it via the instructions in the original letter. Do this even if a deadline for submission is not mentioned in the PCC request letter - this is because they may close your file and return it if there is no response in 30 days regardless.

Hello,
I need information regarding IMM 5406 form, who has to fill out this form.
My father: principal applicant
My mother: dependent ( accompanied with pr file).
My brother: he is married, fully independent ( staying in home country not accompany with pr file).

my father and mother submitted IMM5406 but my brother he did not. Do he need to submit imm5406?
