What is p1 and p2 ?
It’s the PR portal 1 and 2, the steps after getting the final decision of your PR application. P1 confirms whether you are in Canada if you declared you were in Canada. P2 is the confirmation step before receiving PPR/COPR or eCOPR

Thanks. So if neither of my parents are in Canada(and never declared in Canada), P1 can be ignored ?

If your parents are not in Canada, you will receive a Passport Request (PPR) followed by paper COPR. If your IRCC has information that your parents are inside Canada, they will receive P1 followed by P2 emails followed by eCOPR in the portal.

If IRCC does not have your correct current address, you'll need to let them know by filling out the Web Form
