You sure? I just read the biometric request for visit visa which says these are valid for 10 years but if we apply immigrant visa then biometric need to be repeated
you might be right. I have emailed my lawyer this question let’s see what he says.
Hopefully if I have to pay this fee IRCC will accept it. Little scared as application status say returned.

RE: validity of your biometric information

Thank you for providing your biometric information (i.e. digital fingerprints and photograph) in
support of your temporary resident application to Canada. The purpose of this letter is to notify
you that your biometric information is valid until 2029/12/09 (yyyy/mm/dd) for subsequent
temporary resident applications to Canada.
What you need to know for subsequent temporary resident (TR) applications:
Please keep this letter for future reference. Your biometric information must be valid for the
duration of your temporary stay in Canada.

You wiInot be required to provide your biometric information again in support of any
subsequent temporary resident applications you make within the validity date indicated
above.

However, if you wish to extend the validity of your permit or visa beyond the validity date
indicated above you can provide your biometric information again and pay the associated
fee for another ten-year validity.

Please note that you will be required to provide your biometric information in support of any
permanent resident application, even if you apply within the validity date indicated above.

This last part says so i guess will need to biometrics no matter if we had previously!!

Hi all, I have following question if someone can help understand.

I had applied for the PR application for my mother. I had received an email about 2 weeks back asking for missing information in 5406, this is what email said:

This refers to your application for sponsorship of a parent or grandparent (PGP) submitted in
2022. A review indicates that the application you submitted does not meet the
requirements for processing as the application is incomplete.
Your application does not meet the requirements for processing as the following item is
missing or incomplete:
<some number> - <Mother name>
 IMM 5406 (for Principal Applicant): The Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)
provided was not completed fully. Please provide a current, completed, signed and
dated Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) for the Principal Applicant and all
dependants aged 18 and over, whether accompanying or not. Each individual must
sign their own copy of this form by hand.

So actually I missed putting my information in the children section for mother's form. Probably that is why this email.

But few days later I got another email which looks like an AOR which says the following, I wonder if I still need to send the form requested in previous email or they deemed it complete. This is latest email:

This letter confirms that your Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class was received
by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at the Case Processing Centre in
Mississauga on behalf of the following family member(s):
<Mother name>
Please note that the following documentation will be required for your sponsorship
application to determine whether you meet the minimum necessary income requirements to
sponsor a parent or grandparent. In order to minimize processing delays, if not already included
in your application, please obtain and submit as soon as possible:
 A completed and signed authorization form – IMM 5768 - Financial Evaluation for Parents
and Grandparents Sponsorship providing your Social Insurance Number.

Thanks for your response.

Regarding sending forms, I have 2 questions if you can please help:
1. How can we fill the names in native langugage in that PDF, because when I try that from google translated copy, it shows just boxes.
2. I can't fill all the sibling details because there are less fields for the info.

Also, is the second email an AOR email itself or it is considered something else. I am not able to search application while trying to link the application in GC key account using details.

Usually when you apply online you get submission confirmation or smthg but if they say we have received nthg at all

you can pay fees online send that doc. Via webform and put parents uci no. Dob , attach passports for both. And explain why you sending it

2 things can after that either they will found out and attach it to your application or they will let you know that officer will ask and stuff

But sending will not hurst its $85 each

So print it and hand write in native lang. We did that too

Print extra 2nd page and only fill siblings info. Rest all box not applicable and make 1 pdf then

And aor email is just the application no. Thats all

Let me know if you understand!!

I have found article on CIC website which tell you about who is not require to do biometric while applying for PR application. This is exemption ( may be due to Covid - I read some where )According to this, one who has valid biometric in last 10 years is not required biometric for PR application.
Please see the link below:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/campaigns/biometrics/temporary-measures/outside-canada.html

Please feel free to correct me if my understanding is wrong.
