All forms are to be signed Electronical ( Basically you need to write the name as per passport in signature line ) Also if the form does not have a signature line then its normal because you will get the Option of Electronic/Digital Signature at the end when submitting the application that signoff all the forms.

The only form that cannot be signed electronically is IMM 5768 Financial Evaluation . So you can print out this form and then upload the PDF file after signature is done , I believe signature should be in Black Ink
I used adobe "Fill and Sign" feature to write my and my wife's name on co-signer and sponsor section respectively. On the explanation letter, we wrote a note to explain this.

We have not submitted the application but everything is now on the portal. We are going thorough last minutes check to see if something is missing or there is any mistake. Hopefully on or by weekend we will be done.

IMM5669 - I have a question regarding personal history duration for my mother/father who are retired/not working for last 10 yrs. Checklist 2022 for PGP had a note that for unemployed provide personal details from year 18 onwards. Does this mean I need to provide their details since their 18 yrs of age instead of since 2012(10 yrs)?

actually it says the following : since the age of 18, or the past 10 years ,whichever is the most recent

On the form Yes, but in checklist there is a Note, which asks since year 18

hey group, for form IMM 5768,

  • For employment history for last 3 tax years, which from and to date format to use?
    Option 1:
From: 2019/01/01 To: 2019/12/31 and so on

    OR

    Option 2:
From: 2019/01/01 To: 2020/01/01 and so on
  • The signature must be in blue ink or black ink?
Also, do we have to upload parent's education certificates and work experience letters as supporting documents?

I go with
  • 2019/01/01 - 2019/12/31 if you have worked with one employer for the entire year of 2019, else
  • For multiple employers in a given year with no overlapping, I would break based on employment period. For example, with two employers I would write 2019/01/01 - 2019/XX/YY employer 1 and 2019/XX/YY+1 - 2019/12/31 employer 2

Also, do we have to upload parent's education certificates and work experience letters as supporting documents?
No where it is asked to submit any educational or work related documents, except to list them without any gap from the age of 18. So it is up to you if you want submit them. For us, we won't be doing that.

I have used YYYY/MM/DD Format ( Format 1 of your example is best 2019/01/01 To: 2019/12/31 and so on )

Signature in Black Ink is good because some forms have indicated TYPE and PRINT in Black Ink ( For example IMM 5768 ) So it is better to sign in Black ink just in case . Parents Education Cert is not required . Include the documents as per check list only :)

My dad is retired for more than 10 years so i provided his history since age 18 . If i remember correct it clearly says - if Applicant is retired for more than 10 year then provide details since age 18 . I currently cannot find in the form where i read that but i am positive this is what they asked .

EDITS : Look at the check list Point number 6 , look at the notes it clearly says . For Section D , If the applicant or Dependent has not worked in the past 10 years ( Eg Retired ) they must provide details of their personal history since the age of 18 :)

I missed signature part. As the form does not support to write your name, I used acrobat's "fill and sign" feature to write names of the sponsor (my partner) and the co-signer (mine) in Section 8 and 14, respectively.

Someone mentioned, yesterday afaik, you can find a post in this thread, that acrobat pro allows you to write your name and you can have a free trial version for 7 days.

I intentionally did not print, signed and scan the form. If you read the guide (5772) it specifically mention the following

Forms for the sponsor to complete
The sponsor must fill out the following PDF forms below and;

  • electronically sign the forms unless advised to print them and sign by hand
  • give electronic copies of the signed forms to the person you’re sponsoring
  • the person you’re sponsoring (principal applicant) will
    • upload them to their online application
    • electronically sign for the entire application, including those of any other family members

And in the section for 5768, it specifically suggested the following for Sections 8 (and 14)

Question 8
If you check “Yes,” type your social insurance number (SIN) and electronically sign and date the statement to give IRCC consent to collect your SIN to ask for your income tax information from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the 3 years immediately before the date of the application. Your tax information will be used to determine if you meet the income requirements) to sponsor a parent or grandparent.

Moreover, even though the context is different, IRCC suggest not to scan the form until it is not necessary. It could be one the reason for the system to not to accept the pdf, you can find more detail in this FAQ-link, you find the following which is relevant

To avoid getting an error:

  • Leave the UCI field empty if this is the first time you are applying or if you don’t remember your Client ID.
  • Make sure you are eligible to apply. Example: You can’t extend or change your status if it has been more than 90 days since your previous one expired.
  • Don’t upload a scanned version of the application form. When you apply online, you don’t need to physically sign the form.
  • Try uploading the form using the latest version of Internet Explorer or Safari.
  • Review your information and make sure your documents are not expired.

Now i am worried because we signed it manually and uploaded the file . I didn't thought about buying that free Adobe and sign it :/
