After Linking the app .. my account for PGP application shows
UCI and biometric information done previously (biometrics numbers, expiry date etc.)
is this normal? Can CIC still request new biometrics as part of PGP, if it still shows as valid?

anyone saw valid bio-metrics in my account after linking PGP application and yet was asked to give new bio metrics?
Thanks
My friend received the biometric request even though his mother already had a valid biometric collection showing in CIC linked account.

Below you can find the info from CIC website, if you like you can check it yourself here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp
If you apply for permanent residence
You need to give biometrics.

If you’re between 14 and 79 years old, you need to give your fingerprints and photo for all permanent resident applications. Even if you already gave us your biometrics and they’re still valid. This includes:

Hello Guys, I need some help here. I can see the ecas but i am not able to link the application.
I think i am making a mistake on the last question [number of people in the application].
We are a family of 4, sponsoring my dad and mom [my brother is there too but not coming to Canada]
Any help will be appreciated.

Is your spouse is a co-sponsor?

If yes - 2+3=5
If no - 1+3=4

If your brother is not dependent, then minus 1 from above

THANKS!
My wife is a cosigner. My brother is a dependent but no coming...
I assume it will be:
2 [wife, me]+2[dad, mom]
Is this correct?

I got DM on sponsor today and revue of eligibility says “we are currently reviewing your eligibility”. But the background check still says “not applicable”. Is this normal? Someone else in same situation?

Hello,

my application to sponsor my parents was received on May 13, AOR on Jul 11. Ecas moved to Decision Made on Aug 13, got bio on Aug 13 and IME on Aug 14.

Quick question - Even though ECAS shows sponsor status as DM, havent received a SA letter/email from CIC.

Any idea/comments on why this would be

Hi Everyone,

Quick question, my mother in law is living in Canada under super visa, and she just received a letter from CIC for sending her biometric for her PR application.
In the letter says she has to leave the country in order to give her biometrics (I assume Turkey would be the best since she is Iranian). But I was wondering if she can do that here while she is staying with us in Canada.

There is a little challenge here that her passport is expired, therefore she can not come back to Canada if she leaves! so she must apply for supervisa again!

I appreciate to hear your experience if you have been in similar situation.

Thanks

Parents received today AOR from VFO - London UK.

"We wish to inform you that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by the Family Reunification Unit at the IRCC Office in London, UK."

The processing of applications starts in order of received date but once the file is in process, how long it will take to finalize the application depends on the complexity of the file. This explains why files are not finalized in the same order they were received. While we endeavour to process all files within the departmental processing standard, complex applications may require more than 12 months. The IRCC Office in London is a large office responsible for 17 countries in three different regions (the British Isles and Nordic Countries, the Gulf, and Pakistan and Afghanistan). Due to the volume of applications we receive it may be a few months before we start active processing of your application."

Is the AOR different for each VFO? I got a letter from CPC-Mississuaga and the contents are different; wondering if this is AOR or if I Should wait for another AOR. The below is what I received.

"Your application has been accepted under the intake cap for 2019.

Your application number is located below the date of this letter. You must quote this reference number in any future correspondence related to this file. This correspondence also acknowledges receipt of your payment. Please keep a copy of this letter for your records."

The AOR you got is from CPC-Missisauga, that is initial stage. After this your eligibility as a sponsor will be reviwed and when you get approval as a sponsor, your parents’ application will be transferred to a visa office may be in your back home or it could be transferred to VO in Missisauga.
Some visa offices again send you an AOR that they are processing your PR application (addressed to principal applicant).
The one mentioned above from LVO London is for the parents of the user.

If we get passport renewed in India, they give the old passport along so that no visa stamping is required. I am not sure about Iran.
