It shows on my PIL application. the other application doesn't have the extra line and the progress bar. Till yesterday it was same.

I just got the same message today in mycic. Until yesterday there was nothing like this.
Now it says the exact same messgae you mentioned above.
As well as, there is another line which says application received May 10, 2019—Estimated Completion date May 10, 2021.

I assumed that it maybe because cic approved you as a sponsor, and started processing your PIL application, but if they are back home then you should get biometrics request after approval

Progress bar is a new thing i think they introduced this march for all kinds of applications, Might be they just updated parents app

I have been in "application received" phase for a while and I can now see the bar

I am worried with this new progress bar, especially with this line
"Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date."

I am from May 10 and it now says, the completion date is May 10, 2022.
Does that mean IRCC is now kind of wrapping up on 2019 in the sense that processing will slow down and we do not bother about this delay.

What about those who already got DM like @redmonkey1995
Do you also see this progress bar with estimated date 2 years away ?

I got it too. I think they got really pissed off by getting multiple calls.
It will get updated for everyone I guess. But I am wondering what it shows for the ppl whose medical and PCC has done.

I think this will be generic message in MyCIC for all regardless status ...

@robertp. Did you get this new progress bar as well. On a side note, congrats for getting ecas to "In process" today.
