This is Interesting. Today, MyCIC account shows the following and the progress bar which indicates they will need another 22 month.

"
We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
You may not hear from us for a little while, this is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date."

Do you guys see the same in your account?
Yes, i noticed that too. I know when i applied for my PR and Citizenship it advertised a long process time but everything came through RELATIVELY quickly. I hope that this is the same for this program and that the CIC are just covering themselves.

Re posting!

Hi,

Can anyone provide some guidance on this:

My application was received on May 15 and My wife's application was received on May 17 in Ottawa for our Parent's sponsorship. We had a baby in June. I have my AOR but my wife is waiting for her's. When should we update the IRCC about the baby ? Should I wait for my wife's AOR first to avoid confusion ? We both are co-signers.

Thank you!
you can submit webform after you get file # to updated family info on your file. OR contact CIC call center to know how can you inform them without file #.

Thanks @robertp for your reply.

Just to clarify, you mean after my wife gets her AOR, then we should update via the web form. Right ?

Question: What if, I have my status changes to In-process -> Decision made (hard to tell looking at the current trend), and my wife still doesn't receive her AOR/ecas update by that time. Will that cause any problem ? Can I update IRCC after my sponsorship approval (DM) ?

Thank you!

Hello everyone i need help i am very confused ! My elder bro submitted my parents application in draw 2018 , initially my parents were not shortlisted in jan/ feb session , but in sept they got an email for invitation, we were able to submit application and receive confirmation / application number in dec 2018 ,

Ever since then there has been no update , can anyone tell me if this is normal?

Whats next?

Anyone in same boat ? Please help
That's a long time since no update on your file, I will recommend you to call IRCC to check why so much delay.

what i understand you both sponsoring your parents and you both co-signer each other on both application. correct me if i am wrong.

In that case.

you have to submit for each application. whoever receive file # you have to inform CIC via webform. you both have to inform family unit change ones you get file #.

you guys need to submit 2 webform - 1 for your wife and other for you.

Those are 2 seperate applicantions. It should be fine.
Update yours first under your application number. Then wait for AOR of your wife's application and update hers then.

I just got the same message today in mycic. Until yesterday there was nothing like this.
Now it says the exact same messgae you mentioned above.
As well as, there is another line which says application received May 10, 2019—Estimated Completion date May 10, 2021.

I was waiting for her AOR , I have mine already and then updating both at the same time (to avoid any confusion). I understand we have to do 2 requests. But, I guess you are right! Thank you for your help @YVR123
