The barcode should only be put on top of formIMM1344, the instruction is for that particular form only.
Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344)
Please read the instruction under imm0008:
Consent and Declaration of Applicant
  1. Once the application is completed, click on the “Validate” button located at the top or bottom of the form. This will generate a barcode page or pages (see image below).

Note: This barcode page will not appear if you fill out your application by hand.

  2. Print all pages of your application form.

  3. Read all of the statements in all sections carefully and:

    Note
    1. Write your name in the space provided.
    2. Check the appropriate box to indicate if you agree that the information contained in this application related to your intended occupation, education and work experience may be shared with prospective employers in order to assist them in hiring workers.
    3. Sign, with a hand written signature, and date in the spaces provided.
By signing, you certify that you fully understand the questions asked, and that the information you have provided is complete, truthful, and correct. If you do not sign and date, the application will be returned to you.

  4. Place the barcode page(s) on the top of your application (forms and supporting documents) when you submit it.

Please find the link attached:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5289-sponsor-your-spouse-common-law-partner-conjugal-partner-dependent-child-complete-guide.html

Validate your forms
Some forms have a “Validate” button, specifically the

  • IMM 1344 (Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship agreement and Undertaking)
  • IMM 0008 (Generic Application form for Canada) and
  • IMM 5669 (Schedule A).
You should fill out your forms on a computer and validate them electronically to make sure you’ve answered all questions. This reduces mistakes and helps you submit a form that is complete. When you click on the Validate button, any missing information will be identified by a pop-up error message or a red square around the fields that need to be completed.

Important: If you are unable to fill out your forms using a computer or are unable to successfully validate your forms, you must provide a written explanation for why you were unable to do so.

After being validated, the IMM 1344 and IMM 0008 will create barcode pages (see image below). When you’re preparing your application, place these barcode pages right underneath your checklist.

Note:The IMM 5669 (Schedule A) form will not produce a barcode page when it’s validated.

this is for Spouse sponsorship but applicable to all other applications i believe. Hope this helps!!
This is a different guide, 5289. Ours is 5772, with slightly different (and not so explicit) wording.

Hi,
I have a quick question in form :eimm5669e : SCHEDULE A : BACKGROUND / DECLARATION:

5. Education History,
I entered years for Elementary/Primary School and no years for Secondary or further.

Do I still need to enter details for Elementary/Primary School in below section as this is highlighted and I can't remove the row? It says to enter the details if you have secondary and higher education but form isn't working well if the applicant has just Elementary/Primary School....
any suggestions or ideas.

Thank you

@nimesh147 and @canada119 - I'd wait another couple of weeks and see if the status change or ECAS is updated, if not I'd send another package with a copy of the print out from canada post showing "out for delivery" and a letter explaining what happened; that u didn't want to risk missing the deadline, yada yada.
I wouldn't do that until June though: there is still PLENTY of time for application to be rcvd/sent again. But that's just my opinion :)
I am in similar situation. I sent with Purolator. The delivery notice says:

Delivered to Public safety office- 269 laurier avenue, Ottawa. When I enquired with them, they said the guy delivered it to the correct address only, he punched in wrong delivery address. After my enquiry- they updated the delivery info online to 2303 stevenage drive. My application was received on May 6th but no updates on ecas yet.

I will wait until end of May to see an update. If not then I am gonna resend application with cover page explaining the situation. I hope there is no harm in sending the application 2nd time? Right?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I sent my application last Friday May 10 by Canada Post Xpresspost and required for signature upon delivery. The status showed as out for delivery since Monday morning May 13, but it has not been signed and confirmed delivery until now. Does anyone have the same situation with me?

We did both because:
1) If you don't sign electronically, the form won't validate.
2) The guide asks for hand written signature in this form

We were a bit short on space though, but after a couple of tries from MIL, it worked.

Sponsoring my mom. My husband is co-signing. we have 1 child.

On the Financial Evaluation Form, do I list my husband's name and DOB for question 10? If question 10, then with of the boxes? We have no undertakings in effect. A bit confused by this part. Thank you

You only write if he is a co-signer

He is co-signing but I'm not sure on which of the following boxes I should fill in his name? Should it be referring to question 4 (i), 4(ii), 4(iii), or 4 (iv)

Hello,

Regarding form - IMM 5768 - “Financial Evaluation for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship”

I don’t have a spouse or common-law partner who is co-signing the application. So, sections under question 10 - “Complete this section only if your spouse or common-law partner is co-signing the Undertaking” - do I leave these sections blank or should I write N/A?

Thanks!
