Do we need to type the name in the computer and sign in the handwritten signature?

Thanks for your help!

Yes

I don't think it will validate if you put unknown on the dates

Hi Desmonddoss,

Thanks for your input, yes it won't validate, there was somewhere in this thread that a call center agent advised someone to put 1900 01 and write a letter to inform them that this is Unknown date due to whatever the reason is.
and to your initial point, yes it is consistent in the Philippines that start of school month is always June, our issue was my Mom couldn't remember the year, she can't recall if she went to school on the usual school age of 7 (which would make it easier for us to calculate) or if she had skipped a year or so, them being in the province back then with no access to regular school that has a more current record system, as oppose to students who are based in Manila.

Great thanks. Any idea how soon we will get the biometrics invitations? I'm concerned as my parents are coming to visit us early August. I cannot send them back home for biometrics then. I hope we receive the bio letters soon.
Depends on which visa office. It is safer to cancel their visit and wait till the process is over.

Also look at the timeline for 2018 PGP to give you an idea

The only thing I have to get translated is my parent's Marriage Certificate. However, I'm not sure about the way it should be notarized.
In my parent's country, if requested, documents get translated by a certified translator and get signed and stamped by Foreign ministry and Judicial.
is this enough?

Authority to certify varies by province and territory. Consult your local provincial or territorial authorities.

Outside of Canada:

  • a notary public
Authority to administer oaths varies by country. Consult your local authorities.

Hello all,

Quick Question regarding reporting of income for IMM 5768.

The questions for 14 and 17 advises to provide all employment history as well as periods of unemployment for the last THREE consecutive taxation yeard preceding your application. Please ensure that you do not leave any gaps in time.

My question is:

The total income reported in NOA for 2018 ( or 2017 or 2018) in line 150 is different when adding up all the gross income earned for the period as the total income on NOA in line 150 would include interests received as well. Does it matter if the amounts do not match ? (as i have read some posts where they will try to see if the amounts reported will match what's on line 150)

Thanks

Hello,

I received the Parents and Grandparents Program Invitation for sponsoring my father last week (mother is deceased) and there are no other dependents.

1. My date for form submission is June 28, 2019. However my father is currently here with me in Canada on Tourist visa until mid-July. Does he have to go back to India or he can apply from here as he is legally in Canada on tourist visa? In that case can I give the mailing address as my address in Canada?

2. My father crossed 79 years (but he has not turned 80 years). Does he need to give Biometrics?

Thanks for any advice, in advance.
