Hello Fellow Members,

I submitted interest to sponsor my parents on Jan 28, 2019 for PGP2019.

I read the application forms to be prepared with the information (In the event that I get invited to apply).
My family dynamics is as follows -

Myself - Sponsor (I am single)
My Father - Principal Applicant
My Mother - Dependent

While studying the forms, I have come up with following questions -

a. In form IMM0008 (Generic Application Form for Canada)

Application Details -
Question 3 - How many family members, including you, are on this application?

My answer is 2. I am pretty confident about this but still would appreciate if somebody give me 2nd opinion on this.

Personal Details -
Question 3 - UCI
. I guess I have to leave it blank as I do not have a UCI number yet. (Please confirm this as I am not sure).
Question 10 - Current country of residence of my parents is Canada on status Visitor (Parents Super-Visa). However I do not understand the "From & To part" Should I put total duration time of Super-Visa for parents?

Question - Further in the form it asks - "Do you have a national identity document?" What document would be considered a National Identity Document for an Indian Citizen (East Indian).

I would really appreciate if someone could clarify my doubts and point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance!
Have a nice day!

Hi,
IRCC gives 60 days from invitation to submit documents. For Quebec residents, they have to apply to MIDI before, which takes 25 business days to provide acceptance letter.

Does anyone have any idea if the 60 days of IRCC start as from MIDI acceptance date?
Or you can send both application at the same time?
Or you wait for MIDI acceptance and then send to IRCC within 60 days?

It is March already. Doesnt seem like Cic is any hurry to send ITA. There are rumors that Cic is waiting to weed out the ineligible people. Duplicate entries will be at default.

They always needed to wait for 2018 taxes. Hopefully they are eliminating duplicates before invitations.

Thank you for this information. I did ask about the same one of the immigration consultants and received a reply that this is a very complex case, requiring careful review and a bunch of the documentation that she can not name because this is too difficult to understand if you are not an immigration licensed professional. Cute! o_O
cute! keep far from lawyers :)
I guess he is trying to up his price

hello

All my supporting documents are in english (same for parents). Just wanted to confirm that I need to provide certified true copies for all supporting documents (for me and parents).

I read in another thread that you do not need certified true copies for parents' documents, only normal photocopies. Any thoughts?
Also, is the date it has been certified important?

Thanks

Are you copy pasting this in all threads?

Only normal photocopies need to be submitted. Copies of translated documents (from languages other than English and French) need to be certified.

Hello everyone. I am currently trying to get a caregiver overseas and she's now waiting for a working visa approval. All of these I have prepared before actually getting a chance to be included on the 2019 parents sponsorship. My question is, if I'll receive an invitation to apply to go on with the sponsorship application of my parents, will the application of my caregiver be a problem to my parents sponsorship? Thanks in advance

Hi... I forgot to mention I’m trying to hire caregiver for my kids... with this ongoing application affect my parent’s sponsorship ? Thanks
